Oh wow, it looks freaking awesome. I wonder if there is a way to get into in the Korean beta.

Interesting considering that the open beta client was made available for download on Dec 26th, character creation and server selection doesn't start until 1/1/2011 and, I think, actual play doesn't start until 1/11/2011 (might be 1/1/2011).
There has to be a way.

Looks nice, but I am no fan of the huge weapons like they always have over there. Or the overflashy effects. Or even the female avatars. They do not feel "fantasy" to me. Just too good looking and hot. But all this sells to many, so I understand why they have it that way.

Girls in high heels and hot pants standing in dirt tag teaming a mining node? Bunny children doing a Vegas act? Are you kidding me? This game looks more ridiculous everytime I see it.

Played AION for almost a year, I'll have to pass.

Silly me. I'm actually tearing up! That was...no words. I just can't.
I HOPE this game is what Aion should have been to me.
The asian look kills the game for me...the monsters, chars, clothes all looks too asian..looks like all asian mmorpgs, and specially like aion...and for me thats bad.
I know its a question of personal taste..but still...
I like fantasy.. but asian fantasy like this, ff14, aion and all others make me feel depressed dont know why.

I for one go nuts with this sort of style and look.
Then I suggest you stop looking as the game isn't for you unless you are just one of those annoying idiots that just like to beat up on everything that you don't like.
It's not for you so move on. For those that are really interested, keep an eye on it.
This puts me off too. But then WoW puts me off as well so...
But I was looking at this game some more and even though the combat could be interesting, the thing that I do not like with the graphics is that they are very shiny and plastic in the way that the world feels like it is drawn with one line connecting everything and then on top of this you have an animation movement of the avatar you are controlling that feels like it is floating in the middle of your screen. B&S has this effect also I think. Which engines do both these games use?
Maybe I am wrong about Blade and Soul and am confusing the similar visuals; it took a while to figure out apart from the Asian looks what it is exactly that I am disliking where otherwise the visuals are very clean and otherwise nice looking graphics.
Edit: FF is the same both Asian style and also disjoint between avatar floating and world that is build like a plastic mould and painted on.
