Black Prophecy: Community Update Posted

The Black Prophecy team has posted the latest community update letter on the official site. The update informs players that the open beta is on the way, though at a future point "when it's ready". Additionally, devs are working hard to optimize the network and have a surprise in store for players coming later this month.
While the majority of the development team is busy fine-tuning several aspects of Black Prophecy’s gameplay and also preparing new content for upcoming game updates, the network coders are still fully focused on improving the server performance. Some of you may have asked how you can contribute to the overall progress in addition to the usual bug reporting in the beta forum; the answer is simple: play, play, and play again! The more often you play the more log files will be available for the devs to help them investigate any remaining issues.

One thing can be said for sure. They got space flying combat right
Is this like an FPS EvE lite? Combat looks nice, any feedback on the feel and response?

nah, free space had space combat right and independence war even more so.
But my thing is if its ftp why not have an open beta now, although it sounds like server load issues are a problem
shallow and grindy I hear. like an asian f2p mmo in space. But with good graphics to be fair.
had beta access for this for a while now, but havent been able to log on still. I have followed all the delete files tricks and whatever, but no joy... I was told by a mod to create a new email account and change my browser to try to get in, but, y'know, screw that. i will try again when they have their issues sorted.
I am so looking forward to this game XD

Play Hard
They fucked up the gameplay with the joystick based design and forward fire weapons stuck on ships with 0 turning angle. Way to make keyboard+mouse worthless for strafing the ship and aiming the weapons.
