Videos of a dungeon and all classes gameplay
I was bored tonight and tried to find some informations on Tera as I was curious and didn't know if I would play it or even test it so I went and luckily found some korean footage of a lvl 45 dungeon and all classes between 35 and 45 gameplay video on youtube in 720p.

I admit that I was quite surprised and I now can't wait to test that game by myself, the gameplay mechanics seems fun with a spammable really low hitting skill and some high damaging skills with more contraint to be able to hit. It really doesn't seem like another skill spamming with no positionning reflection.
I really like how the ranger, warrior and sorcerer are meant to be played. The mount animation in another hand is so bad it kind of hurts and I really hope the 34k+ damage done at one point by the sorcerer can't be done in PvP.
So what are the classes that appeal to you the most?

I am still undecided between the Beserker and the Slayer but leaning toward the Beserker because I like the look of the axes.
The big damage skills that the sorcerer has have very long cast times and are easy to dodge, those will best be used in pve.
As for me I like the Lancer, slayer and archer. Of those the lancer will be my main.

I'm thinking Priest, though I'm not sure yet. All the classes look fun to play.

I am going to give every job a chance and level them up to 10 or so to get a feel for them. So far, from all the videos you guys have posted, I think I may go with Berserker and Sorcerer or Berserker and Priest. Chances are I am going to create one High Elf and one Human character to go with those classes. Since En Masse will be at the Consumer Electronic Show from January 6-8 I am really hoping for some new information or even an interview with them.
I am pretty sure that with the Open Korea Beta Test starting early next week, there will be tons of videos that are going to get uploaded within the next week or two (or however long the beta test lasts). I am looking forward to them, and I might even change what classes I may want to main and maybe even add one on top of it.
Wow ... I'm really impressed. Animations and surroundings look great. The more I see of Tera the more I am getting used to the asian touch to it.
And a hunter looks to be a very fun class to play. Thanks for the link, getting pretty hyped up here

Ok, Now I really don't know what class I'm gonna play (at first...).
The more and more I look into TERA and the more and more I look into other games coming out or currently out makes me think this will be my best choice. It's got the look and hopefully some of the same feel ast L2 which is my second favorite MMO with hopefully more lore and storyline to come out between now and release.
After looking at the videos it looks like Lancer will be my best bet. I always love a good tank role and the shield I've been seeing just make me drool a little bit. If I'm a tank I normally go with a ranged class but the archer videos didn't get my heart pumping like the lancer videos did, maybe and alt if I decide to stick with this game for a while. At this point though more will need to be revealed for me to decide on what race I will be choosing.
It's hard to say this about such an amazing looking game. 10 year old girl race is pretty messed up.
Im leaning towards the Warrior with dual swords or the berserker. The warrior seems to have some nice fast attacks, while the berserker seems to be really slow but if the attacks hits it looks like it would hurt pretty bad. But im pretty sure I'll try out all classes first then really decide which class I wanna focus on.
On Tera pvp servers, 10 year old girl race messes you up ;-)
Seriously, the popori and elin are looking to be the best ever race for ganking *coughs* ... I mean world pvp in mmorpgs so far.

Well, I am not so sure that it will be the most fun but I have to agree that it at least looks best. I hope they announce a date for the Western beta soon as well.
I don't have anything against the racoon.
Very impressed with the gameplay in this game it looks so smooth.
Combat seems very boring.But i dont hold my breath till i play it.It may end up a good game.
Till now i see a big fail.

Combat seems a lot more skill based to me, which is good as far as I'm concerned. I'm surprised the combat looked as good as it did in that video considering he's playing from Spain, which is about 6000mls from Korea.

Lineage 2 has the best combat of any traditional MMO. Crisp and strategic. Almost turn-based-strategy in how a followup action is kind of queued, as well as movements.
Tera looks more like;
spam skill, miss because you were too far,
spam skill, miss because you were too close,
spam skill, miss because of lag,
spam skill, miss because target moved out the way of your slow ass attack,
repeat, repeat, repeat...
First MMO where a mage has to hit a normal mob 20 times to kill it...
Every PVPer will roll a warrior within a month.
I don't think that will happen, every class is based on mana every skill with high damage and generally some cooldown associated cost a lot of mana and you have some low damage skill as casters that gives you mana back and yes if you want to kill a mob of your level you'll need a lot a those if you only use those, and generic attack as melee gives you mana back.
Except for the ranger those videos seems like it was made from someone that didn't play the classes that much, saw the sorcerer trying to understand how he could get his meteor kind of skill off? but it did like 34K damage when it finally hit something so it was worth it.
I also saw some ranger PvP footage and it fucking hurts, you don't need to be able to 2shots a player as a ranged DPS and if a melee player can't touch you he can't get mana to use the real damaging skills.
Having played about 100 MMOs I consider Lineage 2 among the worst. Few skills, clicking mechanics, cant even see enemy's health. AoC or WoW did it much better. TERAs combat looks fantastic
So it looks bad to you cause you don't like the free targeting system. Plus I have seen a few clips of mages casting 2-3 spells and killing mobs. Some poeple that played the old school MMOs don't like the new faster pace MMOs but there is always a debate wether its fun or not. It seems that Tera is just not for you.
