I told myself I'd get this if I got hired before it was released and I just got hired so now I'm trying to figure out what the differences are between PC and console versions. Both of my devices can fully run the game and honestly I'd rather get it off steam, instead of put it on my pS3.
Are there any major differences?

There are no major differences between the two platforms.
Interestingly, in one of the closed beta thread in which someone was complaining that PS3 and PC players would be server-segregated, one of the devs mentioned that this segregation would allow them to tailor each version separately as need be and as the players dictated. Now, I hate to read too much into that statement, but it tells me that they are possibly open to the idea of making UI and other such changes for the PC crowd in the future. I understand that they didn't for launch because it saved dev time by making them the same. May never happen, but that is how I interpretted the comment.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
I assume a xbox 360 controller on a windows based PC will work just like a PS3 version? I got carpel tunnel so playing with a controller is necessary, especially since I enjoyed COH and CO with one.

I prefer PC, but its always good to have both
I prefer pc since I use a razor deathadder and a nostromo n52. I find that these controls are more user friendly than keyboard or controller.
PC. Less limited on the graphics side and have the choice of using controller or keyboard and mouse, you might have that on console, i dunno, haven't played consoles since i bought an xbox360 then sold it 2 weeks later..
The combo-style of the weapons skills made the controller feel much more natural than button mashing the keyboard. If I ever get the game, it would probably be for the PS3. Not too often that I can relax and enjoy my mmo's reclined on a couch in the living room.
But really, its the personal preference. At least if you play on the PS3, you know everybody is on the same playing level if you PVP. Otherwise, PC will be determined by who has better rigs, and I'm not sure if macro-ing will become an issue with some of the combos. Also, the PC community will be more traditional MMO-like, while the PS3 community will probably be more open to traditional console players.
It's up to you!
