Physx errors

I got a new video card and its drivers are fully updated and now i cant play either Batman: Arkum Asylum or Dark Sector which are 2 games i bought from the Steam holiday sale.



For Dark Sector i get a physx error saying physx isnt installed correctly.



For Batman i get an error saying almost the same thing but instead adds in "failed to initialise NVIDIA physx, please install the latest nvidia physx system software.



I dont know anything about computers, can anybody please help me out with this?



All my other games play fine.

A GT 430 isn't really meant for gaming.  You should probably set PhysX to run on the processor anyway, not the video card.

No, I don't know how to do that.  I've never played a game that offers GPU PhysX.  Sorry.

Did you install the physx drivers? Not the video card drivers.

Yeah ive reinstalled both drivers a few times now trying to see if itd work.

If i remember right i tested both of these games when i first connected the video card and they worked fine. Pretty sure i started getting these errors only after i updated the drivers.

Google says that arkham asylum has a problem with games for windows live. Try updating or even installing games for windows live and it should work.

 

If it doesnt work I dont know. Good luck.

I've googled it myself and tried everything and nothing seems to work.

You should try uninstalling the PhysX drivers then reinstalling them if you haven't. (not sure if when you said you reinstalled them you uninstalled first)

Also check the nVidia control panel for the PhysX section and see if setting it to CPU gets the games running at least.
