D2D question

in DC Universe Online

Anyone who has bought the game D2D and already downloaded it, able to please tell me how long the download took? thanks in advance

    It really depends on your connection. The client download from D2D is only 8mb, so it only took a few seconds. Once you install that, it then downloads about 12.5GB of data from SOE's servers. My connection only caps out at about 800kb/s unfortunately, so it took me about 6 hours or so.

    Yea, the download from D2D is trivial. It just downloads the launcher, then the launcher connects and downloads DCUO from SoE, which went very fast for me considering the size.

    Apparently, I'm the dummy that  pre-ordered from the station and haven't been able to download anything at this point...

    Should I cancel that purchase and go to D2D you think ?

    If you are in the U.S., it is $40 at D2D with the "joker" code for about 10 more hours I think.

    Thanks for the reply and the advice.

    Just cancelled the Station order and started the pre-load through D2D. 

    It's rather retarded that Sony can't at least offer download options and price on par with competing retailers though.

    I just submitted a ticket to D2D for the difference. I will see how it goes. I figure what the heck, they have treated me right in the past. Thanks for the tip on that.
