Harder than WoW..read first

ExploriumExplorium Member Posts: 395

In WoW, I played two weeks without one death (when I first started the game)...cataclysm I died a few times in the first two weeks, but it wasn't too bad. All but one death was due to random instancing, and it was due to bad tanks or one time, a healer that didn't heal but just dpsed...

Lego Universe. I'm running around the pirate area, and damn! its freakin' hard! One hit from a zombie takes 2-3 armor, plus 2-3 health! Two hits and I'm dead. I've died more and have had more of a challenge in Lego Universe than I ever did in WoW. By the way, I've been playing with a friend, and even with two people its hard to kill stuff.

And the quests really make you think. They don't give waypoints on the map telling you where to go, or where to collect a present and its exact location...you actually need to use your brain and think, or your eyes to look.

No, not trolling, not kidding...and I'm confused how this is a kids game. I'm definitely not complaining...I LOVE the challenge. But I didn't expect it to be harder than WoW. This is great, because this kind of teaches kids and stuff. And gives the more older crowd a challenge.

Well hide it and don't let SOE or Blizzard get their hands on it.

Oh one more thing... Can I be a Master Scout in the game?

Its easier to pay ~15€ to blizzard to keep your childrens away from your feets.

but if buy LEGO Universe to them ,they will keep asking  what to do and how ,help, from themselves and from you, which is all good.

games like LEGO Universe is alot better investment for childrens than teaching them to scream anal-lol-dirges or teaching them to live in scary azeroth wheres evol monster who dont do any harm to you, somekind of twisted path made of cotton wool what is supposed to be dangerous.

Umm, not sure what you mean. But there are various classes. Pirate (Buccaneer), Gunslinger...those are the venture league ones. Umm, not sure what Paragon have. The Assembly have an Engineer and forgot the other one. Sentinels have two, I know one is a Samurai but forgot the other one. I know one of them has a summoner-like class. But can't remember all of them off top of my head.

Building with the individual legos is a bit weird, gets some taking used to. Building with already made pieces is a lot easier. Having said that, some people make some awesome creations with the individual legos...my friend is in the process of building a mech. That will be cool.

Assembly has the Engineer and Summoner sub-classes ;) Both are supporter types, they can repair armor and build turrets or summon creatures

I just started playing with an engineer and it's actually a lot of fun. I may be way out ouf the targeted age range but I loved Lego as a kid and I still love it :D

The game itself is easy to lern, but can be quite challenging. You have to do a lot of searching and pay attention to your surrounding to find the stuff you are looking for. Fighting can also be kind of chaotic when many players are around.

This is a welcome change to LotrO which is also play regularly.

The game has loads of potential (I mean... it's based on Lego...), they just have to use it right.
