No matter what I keep coming back to this game. It was my first love MMO, so maybe thats why. I've decided to scrap my old account and start fresh, so if anyone wants to join me just let me know.. I'm not sure what server I'll be on and what not yet cuz I'm still downloading.
I was planning on making a Paladin as my main since I never played that class before so u'll have you'r own personal Tank if you choose to accept this mission.
Or if anyone else has just started and you would like me to join them I'll do that too.

Its been very temping to get back into XI, while waiting for XIV to become properly updated. If I did, I already have a well established char and Linkshell on the Fenrir World and would continue there, though I'd consider starting another job from 1 or so. I'm still mulling it over, but if I do, I'd love to reopen recruiting for our LS, and possibly get a static going, and a bunch of new/elder players either starting anew or transfering over to play with.
It would also only be $7 a month since my XI and XIV accounts are already linked with my SE account...hrm
I found another thread and it looks people are making new characters on Titan so thats what I did.. So if anyone else wants to join me that be sweet.
I found that same thread, I'll be seeing you in th LS soon
Nice. Gonna try and get a hold of people today, just messed around yesterday in game. See ya soon.
I would go back only if i was really bored. If i did i would switch servers. One of the main reasons i left was there were alot of assholes in Unicorn Server. Some very bad experiences. 11 was my first love, but ive learned to move on from it and have found happiness in other mmos.

I would but I lost my account and the account my friend gave me just doesn't feel right. I don't like playing a character that I didn't take the time to level even though we pretty much did all the same stuff other then what jobs we leveled. I'd rather have my pld, rng, and war instead of a nin, thf, drk.
Me and my bf decided to roll on Titan too after reading this thread, I used to play FFXI when I was younger and I loved it, the only thing making me quit back in the time was the lack of parties and how much a party is needed.
But now I got him to play with and we played FFXIV first, but after playing it a bit and telling him how much better FFXI was to me, we decided to buy FFXI (I started a fresh account too), but we're a little bit lost, there are NO items on Auction House at all, how are we supposed to get started? Also Windurst is a ghost town, are we missing something? Are Auction Houses nation based and is Windurst the least popular one?
I hope I can get a reply to this really fast, so we can reroll in another nation before it's too late.
Also, what's the name of this linkshell and is there someone I can /tell ingame to get an invite for us?
Well always wonderful to see lots of new faces heading back into the wonderful world of Vana'diel. I am Shadex in game and the name of the shell is Sentinel. We would love to see some of you so be sure and look me up if you like pretty much every night from around 6PM MST on. Looking forward to speaking with you ingame. If you cannot locate me, perhaps Galicia or Vandred are around. They would be happy to assist as well.
Honey, every town is a ghost town depends what time you play. There is no items in AH because everybody who plays the game is 75 and up and are using the Jueno Ah wich is connected to Tavanazia and Whitegate. GO there and you will see your traffic. I would advise you to start crafting like cooking and smithing for starters. That way you can make your own weapons and cooking will make you decent money. But i would reccomend fishing too. Lots of money to be made

This is a problem Square recognized in a recent message on their Twitter account. The problem is that Bastok, Windurst, Sand'Oria, and Jeuno all have seperate auction houses and items listed. According to their message they're likely going to finally merge them all into one to make things easier and get more low level items listed in the main cities.
Titan is the Server i played on for the longest time , i have final fantasy 11 still but i forgot my user name and i lost the key for it so i need to get a new Key for it. my name ingame is KungPowFury
monk 36/warrior 18
would love to play sometime
windy is always dead and always has been
the server had problems in the late part of last year as a result they let some char's transfer to reduce lag basicly everyone quit transfered.
honestly titan is a nice server but its "ran" but a bad gang allot of clicks in titan so if you wanta play it eather join one make ur own click or just start a Ls and ignore the asholes who bug u.
i won't be online for a while but u can add me on my yahoo.com ill send a update to everyone when i get back online.
and if your starting new char's on titan and can hit u up with some freebees.
i got a mog house with well over quadtruple the normal space filled with used gear you can pick from.
anyone about final fantasy 14
game dev's like Square and sony have a big problem
they make awsome games but they pump them out too fast too amke dead lines.
another big mistake is the constant need to get a new grafics card.
i spent 200$ last year on a bran new graf card
guess what?
its out of date and FF14 errors up when i try it becuase im missing a better graf card.
funny how theres 90 types of grafics cards and u buy the best one and next year no one is using it at all.
im sorry ill stick with FF11 and when they final kill the FF11 server that will officaly end my MMO days used as a wake up call to grow up and give up on games.
im honestly just sick of pumping money into my computer. sony dosnt even knwo how it feels do they you buy a great graf card and 6 months later u buy another have they even thought about how it feels too toss out the old one? its litteral like seeing your money go in the trash dude... and for the price of the grafs card it says i need i could buy a small notebook. labtop
I would get back into FFXI again, and even start from scratch, if it was with a group of people who were interested in doing the content the "old-fashioned way".... enjoying the journey, rather than trying to race through it all.
Examples:
1. XP parties - at any level range - without a PL of any kind. Yes, including the Dunes. No Astral Burn parties. Just folks hanging out, pulling mobs, getting xp, chatting away and having a good time... maybe even coordinating and using Skill Chains and Magic Bursts! Not worrying about "optimal character builds with the optimal party setup for the optimal xp-per-hour because that's all that matters".
2. Being willing to xp in other areas other than "the designated spots" that so many seemed to insist on leveling in... even while they complained about being tired of leveling in them, and there were always alternative spots to choose.
3. Doing missions and quests at the ideal levels - not waiting to get way higher level (since it seems they're uncapping everything) so it's a cakewalk. In other words, doing a fight intended for level 25, at ~25.
4. At the higher levels, interested in doing the content that has been released in the game since day 1, and not only content that starts with an A, ends with an A and rhymes with Abyssea.
5. People generally being helpful, reciprocating when helped themselves, and not only caring about "what's in it for them".
I don't know if that's at all possible anymore, or if there are (m)any people left who would fit that description in XI anymore... If there were, I'd definitely strongly consider it. There's still no other MMO out there like FFXI.... at least when people are actually playing it and not just trying to rush and power-level through everything.

Some of you guys seem to have a pretty unrealistic and romanticized concept of how great old FFXI used to be, grinding and SC+MBing. There's a reason that died off, because people hated it and its slow and terrible. Im skeptical that anyone who professes to love the old grind will actually pick it up again and stick with it very long once they realize how truly blowful it is.
Things are better now, and if you want to take it slow thats fine. Just don't pretend like the lengthy periods of time you take coordinating skillchains and MB wind up to be worth the time you otherwise couldve spent doing more damage and wasting less of your life.
Eww.
Unless they've taken a lot of the pain out of getting and levelling subjobs...ffxi is not a game to reroll on.
Lucky for me, I gave my account to a friend so he kept my stuff rolling for a few years.
Cheap tard didn't buy any of the new expansions/moogle stuff for it though.
Sad day.
