"Super" 1000 times and counting

in DC Universe Online

I've watched a bunch of videos of DCU, some official, soem from beta gameplay and one thing just doesnt look right. What  IS THE FREAKING DEAL with word "SUPER" The guy who was introducing the video was like: " and here are the superpowers - superspeed, sepervision, superstrength superthis and superthat"

 

the city (or any other area) looks totally dead and empty with no actual people (what I've seen), however filled with tons of SUPERheros and SUPERvillans bashing each other with no sence.

What's that all about? If is everyone SUPER, then you are in fact NOT at all.

    There are civilians and cars all over the place in my experience.  It's not as packed full of them as CO or COH.  One fun thing is yo ucan actually interact with the vehicles, blow them up, whatever.  Your last line makes me laugh.  Not sure how a game like this could overcome that "issue".  It's a good point but I'm not sure you can expect it any other way.  Maybe add more NPCs, who knows?

    Yeah, maybe a bit more crowded places with regular citizen NPCs would help a lot

    Maby you did not relise you are watching videos for a comic book MMo.

    I guess you know nothing about the DC Universe.

    Go read some comics and you will see the super word a lot.

    To be fair,

    A LOT of those Beta videos are just that.  Beta videos.

    There have been quite a few where I've seen the video and I was like.. "Oh, that was before such-and-such patch".  Or hey that was fixed by the December patch and the like.  Some of that was NPCs.  I remember there was a HUGE problem with people walking into traffic or cars phasing into each other and the like so they completely patched that bad boy up.

    If you're hesitant, give it a few days.  Plenty of us already buying to play tomorrow.  Pics will be FLOWING from it very quickly (I really LOVE the art style so taking a butt ton of screenshots is DEFINITELY in my future).

    I PLAYED the beta and there are tons of civilians wandering around.
