I got charged twice

I pre ordered from D2D and used the key on the Launcher, but when I went to play it wanted me to set up a subscription too.  I couldn't use the key on that page because it said it was already used, so I set up a sub with my credit card -- I read that it will ask you to buy it but when you check out it won't charge you since you have the key inputed already -- but nope, Sony took 49.99 from me on top of the 35 I paid for D2D.  I opened a ticket but no response yet.

So what are you trying to point out here? Because you mention that you opened a ticket already. So why are you posting ?

Sadly, no one here can get you your money back.  And since it's launch day, you will most likely be waiting quite some time with the zerg rush of people trying to make accounts and play.

 

Just try not to get upset if it takes quite a long time, but you will get your money back.

Just wondering, did you set up an account with your D2D key, and when it wasn't working, tried to make a NEW account to sub with?

...? Direct2drive.com....Steam...Most likely even the SoE store.

When I opened the Launcher, it said this game cannot be played, so I entered the key from D2D.  But then it said i had to set up a sub, and when I went to do that it asked for the key and when I entered it, it said the key was already in use.

Right.

So did it ask you to create a new login/etc?  Or did it just automatically take it away from the account you were logged in with?

If you mean my Station name or whatever it's called, I still was using the same one.

I actually just created an account after many years of just lurking to warn people about this. It happened to me too, it looks as if you are registering for a monthly fee and then they somehow assume your purchasing a game too even if you already have one.

I'm in the same Situation man. Weird thing is I applied my D2D key and got the freeze bombs so basicly they just need to give me my money back for somthing I never got :S

i put in my steam code, then subbed to activate, havent been charged anything, the sub cost was $0 for first month.  steam hasnt charged me yet either.

Hey OP I don't know if your situation has changed but SOE emailed me back and gave me a refund so it's all good now hope the same goes for you

I see their still the same old SOE. Wait till you try to cancel your account and still get billed anyway, thats really fun.

I still haven't heard back from them but I did notice I have the freeze bombs, so there's my proof to Sony that my account was purchased not only from someone else but also from them.  I want my 50 bucks back though.
