The Trolls Of Telara

Hello everyone its that time again for me to link a new video, but let me go ahead and give you the basic rundown of what I expect you to get from the video:
-What the trolls of this game say consistantly. (Impersonations)
What I mean about trolls and what they say is the constant repete of the same word WoW clone used against this game and most other games like it. I will explain what I think of that.
-What the game copys and from where.
I will break down pretty much what came from where and how they innovated it from its original stance. ie tallents turned into souls which got broken down into many archtypes so on so forth.
-The Defiant Starting Area.
A basic rundown of my experiences with the zones ive been in so far.
-Other things.
Im pretty sure I ramble on about some other things including my new headset and the debut of my new show Game Over which will be general gaming in the same format Level Up is in.

PS: Im pretty sure I misspelled something in this thread, no need to correct me because im one to believe that spelling is of theory and not of correct or incorrect. If it sounds right it is right and im sticken to it!

+1 to this. i couldent even make it 2 mins in before i wanted to kick him down his parents basement stairs.
Extremely similar gameplay, sometimes even to the little details.
Extremely similar content (instance, instance, quest, raid, "battlegrounds", instance, raid). Sometimes borrowed features from other games with slight alterations (PQ = Rifts)
Predictability (expansion! what's in there? instances, raids, level cap raises, more battlegrounds, more quests).
Similar UI, similar economy (not a bad thing, but together with all of the above makes the similarities even more obvious).
Similar progression system and similar class system. Sometimes better, sometimes worse, but always done on the same foundation.
Alt-focused.
Very similar game structure. Even if games use different game engines, they feel the exact same. It's like everyone used the same mold to build their games. "They do it because it works!". I know. I don't care.
And lastly, before anyone says "OMG GAMES BEFORE WOW HAD THESE" that is irrelevant. To most people these features didn't exist before WoW- therefore it is simpler to call them WoW clones since most people know what you are talking about, even if the term is not 100% accurate. Call a game a "DAoC clone" and most people have no idea what you mean. So don't bother.
Yeah I normally dont do voices very often. Kinda over did them but some found it funny which im happy. Keep in mind if you skip to 2 min you wont hear those! Lol.
ill admit i lold at some of the comments in the first minute or so, but at the 3 minute mark, i couldnt take it anymore.
Yeah I thought it was a little long my self but I had 80 math problems to do so I couldnt do a retake on it till the next day and I didnt really feel like doing a retake on my most busy day so I just was like meh they can skip ahead. I hope you made it passed the voices though.. I promise they wont be as tediously long anymore.

funny video.. the voices were kinda stupid, but whatever , I get your point and I feel the way you do about all these trolls calling everything a wow clone.. Wow is lame as hell. How could anyone like it?

While I think rift is a great game that video is awful and an insult to human intelligence. If I was an alien and saw that video my first reaction would be vaporize the Earth before this kind of idiocy can spread to other planets. Add in the 7 year old sounding voice and it just gets worse.
That being said critizing Rift for being a WoW clone is not a terrible thing. It shares many features from WoW. Death penalty, heroic dungeons, quest directed, solo play, crafting, class abilities,UI,and much much more. But its still a good game. It may not be the game for everyone. But that is fine and people are entitled to their opinion. To call someone names and make a juvenile video insulting them is trolling. I may dsagree with many of the naysayers opinions But I respect their right to have an opinion and post their feelings.
You know, I find it extremely funny how butt hurt some people are that they actually need to create a video about some people who like WoW.
Jeez, man, these are just games, let it go.
You "watch" TV with the sound off? I could never watch that show with Urkel because of the voice. It has a lot to do with it.

I noticed you say the game has a story worth following and yet in the video you do not read the quest text.. . just like WoW! I kid. The first 2 minutes made me want to shut it off. I skipped through it and there is some good opinion there that was worth hearing. I say just cut the first 2 minutes.

Excellent video! Really a must watch for anyone on the fence about the game. The creator of the vid really cuts through the BS and explains the game perfectly.... and the first 2.5 mins is priceless!

The rest of your post was in the same vein but this really popped out as a great example of most of the petty and inexplicable criticism about this game.
What the hell else would be in an expansion? Spell it out, what exactly would you want in an expansion to a game? A completely different game ala NGE? Maybe have it change the game into a tax refund calculator program? What?
You want something that isn't represented in the mmo genre. We get it. I have alot of similiar wishes but I don't go about knocking down a modern well put together example of the genre that does exist. Its just the reality that we live in.
Its like complaining that new model vehicles are being put out with safety/convenience/fuel economy improvements but they still use wheels. Why don't they use antigravity like those other vehicles that don't exist anywhere but in my wishes? They suck, a new Honda is EXACTLY THE SAME as a Model T Ford .. EXACTLY.
Honestly these are some of the most bizarre complaints imaginable.
Thank you for your comments. There are many who dont like the voices so ill cut them down in the next level up episodes, (the many that will be). I take all critisizm and comments and try and adapt to make the viewing experience better. I have about 2 hours of Rift footage left to upload that isnt in HD. The next beta I might try and record HD footage, but hey im still on low settings when recording.

Maybe not DAoC. But call it a WAR clone, AoC clone or Aion clone and some will bite.
Who said this game is like WoW? Other than having some basic similarities that most current MMO's share, it really isn't much more like WoW than other games.
It is however, a total ripoff of WAR. This is an immutable truth that cannot be argued. The game even has a generic PQ system, that not only doesn't improve on WAR's, but somehow is even worse. Play on if you like, but stop trying to convince people that Rift is anything but a rehash of WAR.
In a very quantifiable way a Bently is a far better car than a Cadillac. If you prefer the Cadillac, then fine, but stop trying to tell the world that the Cadillac is "better". It's not, and this is a fact.
