activation of 30 day code in DCUO

I have to say the procedure to activate is on the difficult side and I have been through some wierd game launches. Sony really needs to smooth it out.

Got my code after a long day at work I didn't expect to sit down and have to spend 2 hours hunting through the faq and forums just to finally figure it out and have the authentication server epicly refuse every attempt to verify a valid code for this order.

Code Invalid

Code invalid because of account status - (which is active with CC applied)

activate through launcher rather than sony station -> code invalid.

activate a subscription -> no subscriptions to activate.

 

stopped at every turn. I work for a computer software company and feel I am reasonably adept at this stuff and Sony really needs to sort their lives out. I understand a different group of people are responsible for website/account/billing aside from coding the game and it is those people who need to get organized. So far this launch has been a disaster for me. This is my first time dealing with sony in an online game, they should stick to making playstations.

I activated and subscribed theough the client.  i agree that it is a little confusing since you don't do them in the same place, and after activating the code it looks like it's not active.  I kept reentering the code and getting that invalid code error.  It wasn't until I tried to enter it through my account that it told me that I could register it because I already had. I went back to the client and there was another button that said subscribe (or something like that), which allowed me to set up my subscription.

Hopefully it just something small like that for you.  Clearly it should have been more obvious where one step leads into the next.
