i bought it for ps3 just to have the experience playing it on a console, and I'm having  a blast with it.  It feels like an action game, works great and having a ton of fun with it with my friends.  I don't know how the controls are on pc, but twimmo over on gamebreaker.tv talked about it a few weeks ago.  Hope this helps!

Im not sure which platform to buy this in.  I prefer the PC, but heard the controls are terrible on the PC.

I like the idea of trying it out on the PS3, but im not real good with the controller.   So I'm stumped right now.  Hopefully they revamp the PC controls very soon.

Meh.  The PC version's UI was crippled to make it fit a consule type enviroment, so both play similar.  For a PS3, the controls and such are what you would expect.

For the PC, the UI is so bad that I think they broke a few international humanitarian laws when they forced it on the PC users.

both UI`s  are pretty much identical,  I use a controller for the PC  version  with the keyboard  for chatting and crap

    work`s great

i own it on ps3 and i would tell you that this game is totally more based for a console..its great and im haveing a blast ! but dont get it twisted its more of a action type online game with some questing **i play for pvp loads of fun** and not a total true old school type mmorpg..so if you have your hopes up for a wow type or even a eq type mmorpg ..you wont find it here

If you already know the people you're going to play with, make sure you all buy it on the same plattform. PC and PS3 servers are seperated.

Otherwise platform choice is completely up to personal preference.

I played it on the ps3... This game is not worth $15 / month, imo.

thanks for your answers, i just made a order for the ps3 version.

i can allways switch to pc if needed (i know i have to buy the game again)

i just found out that with the pc version you can switch between us/eu server, afaik this is not possible on ps3.

not sure if there are enough people playing this game on the eu ps3 server...  we shall see in a few months.

    no risk no fun /shrug

Agreed - the graphics on high settings are flawless. On the PS3 they had to tone the Res/textures down due to limitations of the PS3 hardware. It plays fine on PC but don't expect it to look as good.

    Thanks for your responses.

Im not sure if this is for me,  I tend to like complex MMOs that have alot of abilities/skills variety of things to do etc.  sounds like you can only use a few abilitys if you have to use a controller.  Is it true you can only use 6 skills at once?

I'm just looking for something cool for a month or two, until maybee Rift.   Ultimatly looking forward to SWTOR and GW2.

Still might pick this one up, or try CO.

I played COH for several years and I'm burnt out on it but liked it.

I think its great you can only use 6 abilities, same as in GW (or its 8 there but w/e) So you have too make your own build and try diffrenct combinations of spells and abilities. It works great. There is alot of abilities and skill, and you can always change up the current 6 you are using, so there is a big variety.

Why do you want 100 diffrent spells too use at one time anyways?

    Currently Playing Path of Exile

    I see your point.

I just worry about the combat getting monotonous:

    Button A: Fireball

    Button B: Flare

    Button C: Fire Blast

    Button D: Fire shower

    Repeat X 4 each mob.

Certain MMOs have interesting combat.  Like Vanguard, EQ2,  ETC.

I guess its a matter of taste.

Those powers are in addition to your mellee combo's .....  its mostly a mellee action combat game with blocking and dodging and reactions.... those powers are just the bit of extra juice to make heraoes feel like heroes...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

I have no bad feelings about playing this in PC... I don't know why people keep saying is bad.

Anyway.... this game is really fun if you consider a MMO action game (not RPG)

I'd go with PC and use a controller. Just what I prefer, can't say anything about ps3 version as I havn't played it.

In any given class based MMO, you probably use around 5 abilities 95% of the time.

    Now that's entertainment!
