Like the title says ive been pretty interested in rift but when beta started i didnt get in... but just checked my account the other day and i was invited to event 3&4 but missed the 4th by a day... so what im getting at is will i be invited to the 5th or is it random? id like to try it b4 i play it dont want another FFXIV sitting on my desk

If you have a VIP key or pre-ordered yes. Otherwise it's a draw.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
You might like the game, but like you said you won't know til you try it. I can tell you that it is NOT FFXIV. That game was the rock bottom (hopefully) of craptastic MMOs to come out. Fingers crossed that other developers will learn from Square/Enix's horrible mistake and delay a game if it's not ready. That being said, Rift is ready. The question isn't that for anyone. The question is more about if it's the game for them.
Yeah, from what ive seen and read it looks like the game for me just would like to try it b4 i drop the cash for a pre-order. but ty for the info!
