    Cool. The 2nd beta is still slated to start January 1st, right? Even if we can't use it yet it's nice to be able to get it ahead of time.

    You are correct: Beta still is starting on Jan 1st. MR is just making the client available early so everyone can hit the ground running come the 1st. People are no use as beta testers if they are waisting time in lines waiting to download.

    Yes thats the downside of it,
    but I'm still secretly hoping, that suddendly they'll appear and say:
    We start Beta 2 right NOW as a nice little Christmas Present for you ::::20::

    Yeah, that would be real nice. However I don't think they'll want to work during Christmas so I doubt it. (having to keep people around to make sure the servers stay up and answer any problems that come up)

    Whew, lucky I got it real fast, only a 30 minute wait. And yeah, its not working yet. I typed in my account name and password and it told me that my account hasn't been activated yet. So we'll just have to wait until next year. (oh no so far away!!! ::::02::)

    As much as we'd all love to start playing right now, I'm betting the dev team is going to be having a well deserved Christmas/New years break before they open themselves to the full brunt of ??thousands?? of beta testers. I know I would!

    On that note, has anyone heard what sort of numbers they are expecting for Beta 2?

    Yeah you're all right, they truly deserve those few days left till january, and I'm sure they still have a lot to do for the Beta ....

    As for the numbers ... I would guess around 10k-30k ... but thats just out of the ass ... ::::40::

    Hey all Wish Gurus :)

    I get  a nasty error msg when i start the open beta client... something like conn refused with a strange path msg like

    C:cygwinhomemarcicesrcIceNetwork.cpp:536: Ice::ConnectionRefusedException:
    connection refused: WSAECONNREFUSED

    Anybody else seen that msg?

    Yes I receive this message since around yesterday afternoon,
    I think they just wanted to stop, everyone connecting to the server and patching and trying to login .... till they open the beta ;P

    The latest count for Beta signups is more than 55,000. :)

    This game is a laugh. the first beta looked like some amateur fools put it together with a budget of like $10.00 working on a amiga 500.

    if you showed this junk to people who been playing world of warcraft they would laugh their assess off.

    Why do companies who have no skills and money try to make mmorpgs.

    I know! I think I am going to go try to build a lamborghini in my basement!

    Yeah why support small studios with new developers who have innovative ideas, when we can instead put more and more money up the ass of some manager of a international slave fabric, who milk their teams to shell out, standard mmorpgs which robots could have produced ....

    Just been over at file planet, and downloads of the client have just passed 12000 and still climbing FAST!

    looks like we're in for some competition logging in come Jan 1. I guess they're gonna have a load test whether they like it or not >:]

    OK the more i read about this game the better it seems. The crafting system seems not unlike horizons and that was the best part of that game + Wish as Pvp verry good.

    Was it too hard to write two posts? I think i saw this reply in another tread ::::29::...
    Why don't spoil every wish tread by posting this in every tread at the wish forums?

    Ah wel I think I'll have to post my opinion about you again....

    When the first beta was released the game wasn't very long in development! Did you ever see the alpha version of wow? It didn't look so pretty either. Yeah and graphics are the most important aspect of the game ::::::29::::, if you would see beyond the the graphics you'd see a game with great potential. If you where in the closed 1.5 beta you could see that the graphics are wonderfull now. Wait till you play the 2.0 open beta and see for yourself.

    And saying that the people of MR are amateurs and have no skill that's just plain stupid. And having staff that comes from ICE (and advanced middleware server app) shurley makes them amateurs ::::::29::::. They're all talented people that care about the testers opinions, they read allmost every suggestion that was posted on the forums, and fixed/implemented the most in there last patch. (But HEY you can't know cause you weren't in the closed 1.5 beta). Imo they're the best mmorpg devs.

    Inform yourself before posting plain lies! Why dit you come here and break down wish. I feel sorry for your kind of people...

    LOl well said im hping to ment you all on open beta. To be honest i havent payed this game much attension until i saw thhe open beta on this site. Then i took the time to actully look at the game and what i notice is this.

    The game seems vary familure to Horizons except thease key points.

    Theres PVP always a good move and also there has to be mutal PVP for it to take place.

    The devs actully interact with there fan base ....... something horizons done to late

    Skills and exp much better way of doing it means no endless k x monster as it gives xp

    O and all one one sever more people to mame errr i mean interact with.

     

    All in all seems very good i wont know until beta but lets just say im already thinking of a name for my choosen race
