If you were an old school EQ player....

I highly suggest you give Vanguard a go.  I myself played eq from the beginning until the cap was raised from 65.  Real life forced me out of the game at that time.  Since then I have tried a few different MMO's but nothing compared as eq had set the bar too high I suppose.  A brief stint in eq2 and i thought I was done with MMO's to be honest.  Flash forward, some time and I gave VG a try.  I was there for the hellish launch, I just stuck with it.  I can tell you that over the years since its launch it has improved by leaps and bounds.  It is a close second for me to the original EQ (slightly less difficult which is a negative for me).  But the endgame more than makes up for that.  Admittedly, the population that we have is mostly end game, but alot of people have been returning to the game from what i can tell so the lower levels have had a decent population at the moment.  Some guildmates and I have an alt group that we play so I can say that there are people around at low levels.  The world its self is enormous, after three years and countless alts i still haven't seen it all.  If anyone does find themselves giving it a go, there is a free trial with a beginner island (i suggest starting there, but to really get a feel for the total game, you won't see that until you leave the island, which requires a subscription).  Anyway, i saw several threads looking for games etc, so rather than post the same info in each of them i just figured a new one would be my best bet.
