I just bought Rift now of there website. It says i will automaticly be in forthcoming beta events.
I want to pre download the game so its ready is this possible and where from ?

Dont worry about it.
A few days prior to the next beta event you will recieve an email notification directing you to your account, there you can download the downloader which will update your client.
Its fairly fast. Since you need your long in to get the downloader to go through all the way, trying to get it before hand is not really worth the trouble.
Also note that if you ordered from Trion themselves, you cannot get a refund or cancel your pre-order. If you dont like what you see in Beta, you are stuck with it regardless. Just a heads up.

Hi, they will send a beta event invitation e-mail before beta start.You will be able to see download link on your account manegement page when you got that e-mail.

Don't worry about it if she close to you for file share, she dont need to download the game.After you download to game just install rift beta patcher(only 18mb file) on her computer and copy/paste your rift beta folder to her computer after that.She will be able to play game without download anything.

or dump her now and avoid the alimony later...
That all depends, is she willing to cook you food while you play?? A good housekeeper to keep things running while your gaming isn't always a bad thing you know.
EDIT: OWE!! I just got slapped in the back of the head by my wife for this one hahaha!
Wait till she falls asleep and get up very quietly and go game for 4 or so hours into the morning...may need a bit of catch up sleep session but it will be worth it.

Don't even sweat it. The game comes down faster from their server than any I have ever downloaded before. I get like 4+ mb/sec downloading the client. If you have broadband you can set it up in 30 mins or less.
