Please just accept your fate and die.
I remember watching your very first episode when I was 5 or 6yrs old and I watched the show for many years. When I was 8, I had a Bart Simpson doll and wore Bart Simpson on my shirt. My favorite game in the arcade was The Simpsons and I loved playing Marge, so I could walk around beating people with a vacuum cleaner.
However, I no longer have fond memories of your show and the mere thought of sitting threw even an old episode, makes my skin crawl. The Movie was absolutely horrible, un-funny garbage, however despite being un-funny garbage it was still hundreds of times better than any episode you have released in the last decade. Does anyone even watch your show anymore? That's really what I want to know.
The Simpsons, make me fully appreciate what Jerry Seinfeld did in the late 90's. He canceled his show at it's prime. Many people thought it was a ridiculous decision, but to this day people still laugh at his episodes and the antics of Kramer. I do not think the same will be said for when The Simpsons finally kick the bucket. 20+ years is plenty for a TV Sitcom and I'm sure you have cemented your place in history as being the longest running Sitcom in the world. Would you please just die, so maybe one day I will be able to remember you in a positive light, though I doubt that will ever happen.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Lifelong Viewer

Apparently they were supposed to end after the movie....
We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.
See, I could have sworn I heard something about that too. Obviously, that wasn't the case because when I wrote this I was watching a new episode where Moe's Bar becomes a Gay Bar.
I just wish they would end the show. It's kinda sad, because I no longer have fond memories of the Simpsons. I grew up with them, Bart was like the coolest thing in the world before I was a teenager. For the past decade, they have just ran the show into the ground.
Eh, it's not like they've corrupted the show by changing the characters' ages, voices, clothing, or even jobs. I don't remember the Simpsons ever really being laugh-out-loud funny, but for 30 minutes (less with commercials) the shows are pretty watchable. I believe the most recent set of contracts end sometime between this year and 2013 and I doubt they'll extend it any further. I'm just fine with the show continuing until then.
Still one of the best shows on TV. Don't know if thats a compliment to the simpsons or an insult to the rest of TV

Well, you could do what most people do. When something is no longer interesting to watch they stop watching it.
I did, a long time ago. But, they recently threw it between a couple shows that I do watch and it's just easier to not change the channel and get on the computer. lol
Ohhh, this is about being lazy. I can understand that.
I don't know if this is true, but I heard after their movie, they wanted to do at least two more movies. True?
It could happen.
If they do make more Simpsons movies, I will look at the trailors before I see the movies. Don't waste your money. People vote with their wallet...:/
The Shadows will walk among us, for all eternity, I will always know they are beneath me.
