Why is it a pot leaf?

A maple leaf has 5 leaves, a pot leaf has 7. No, I don't smoke nor condone it. But I caught it out of the corner of my eye on the left. It's actually there as I'm editing this post right now.

    Have you seen some of the crazy stuff in Maple Story? You'd HAVE to be be high to come up with some of it.

     

    Or as a friend of mine who dislikes it said, "You'd have to be high to enjoy it."

     

    So maybe one of those is why?
