How about (ans it will never happen) THIS GAMES JUST LIKE WOW......or any other version of it...Oh and clone....unless were talking about sheep...or possibly chickens....or your boss

Czelaw, you beat me too it. I was going to say the word clone also.
I have to agree with the Clone thing. People constantly bringing up the word clone and not backing it up with any type of discussion or why they label the game that way drives me nuts.

I want to see the terms Carebear and WoW babies go away. Also, the negativity about themeparks or sandboxes and the argument about "old timer" gamers or new gamers. It's all tiring, offensive and just plain annoying to read about. Goes hand in hand with the whole "clone" argument as well, as mentioned above.
I believe moving forward I think all posts and replies with the word 'sandbox' should be deleted.
Never again do i want to have a conversation about some game not being a sandbox because its not possible to turn a tree into a snowblower.
Amen.
For me personally, I'd be happy if we didn't see any more references to "rose tinted" anything. It's not just tired at this point, it's fossilized.
Also, if I could bring up a RL one: the cliche "at the end of the day". This is just a supplement for "Ummmmm". It only reveals that you haven't figured out what you're about to say, but for some reason you're convinced that it will (eventually) be profound.

Sandbox and themepark. Even find myself falling into the trap of using them. Not only are they just used poorly most of the time (why are we judging a game based on whether or not it's one of these two things and instead base a game off whether or not it is FUN?), but also because they are often completely misused and the person has no idea what they actually mean.
WoW clone (or clone in general) is another big one I'd wish people stop using. Just because a game has similarities doesn't make it a clone.

As always, and it wont happen, I would love to see the i-word and the w-word vanish from everyones vocabulary.
(the "i-word" is "immersion", the "w-word" is "whine")

Yeah I should have added those along with sandbox(y) and wow clone. Those belong in a poll about what words are overused in a dev hype blog.
Hmm. *places hand on chin*
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
I am sure many developers would also love to see the word 'immersion' leave players minds as well but for this player its important.
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
Please do not respond to me
That one would surely win.
all the above and i'de like to see the words; LULZ, LAWL, LOLZ gone too. the simple yet effective "lol" is still good enough.

That's easy -- Sandbox and Themepark.
The sooner both of those words die, along wtih all the wank that accompanies them, the better.

Clone, dumbed down, hand holding, theme park-sandbox, quest-grind can all go get lost.
Edit: Add nextgen to the list. And I agree with Locke for Carebear.
Amen.

You could start with "MMO" because its incorrect. Its "MMOG" or "MMORPG". We don't normally refer to a group of adjectives as a noun.
Following have no meaning in a mmorpg.com discussion and so should be avoided
- Mac Donalds, MMO is not food
- Brittney Spears or Justin B. MMO is not music
- Roller Coaster . MMO is not Disney land
- Themepark. MMO is not Disney World
- Sandbox. MMO is not a programming language.
- Meaningful PvP ... meaningful PVE. Pixels stay pixels, whether they are land, flags or bosses.
- Just personal opinion (most lame excuse ever).
- I played 5 years just one game and now I am bored. (sorry but we are 6 billion+).
Add your own: WoW
I see what you did there!!
Oh look ^^ another phrase that should be canned.
Polish, not the term for people from Poland, I mean the word, it's overused.
Haters gonna hate.
Fanbois.

Fail.
This. Though I must say I'm quite partial to "fail".
Yeah me too, more like calling Fail over nothing.
Haters gonna hate is the new racist.
Fail, or any variation using fail.
Refreshing.
Hater.
Fanboy.
Polish.
