Sony will be unable to effectively combat piracy on the PlayStation 3 now that the system has been hacked, and the system could face levels of piracy greater than those seen on handheld systems.

Let me put it this way, no one will buy blank blu ray disk's for ps3 games as pre owned games are cheaper to buy.

Who cares now ? The PS3 is 4-5 years old , they are extremly lucky to have it take so long to hack it ..

well i have both the 360 and the ps3 so i dont really care what happens .
The 360 was hacked so much faster, so why does it affect anyone who owns a ps3 already? It shouldn't. Unless they are planning on hacking their systems. Then it should make them happy?
Well I don't think so, in my part I would prefer to buy the original as long they will not tweek the price. The price of the ps3 games a little more cheaper. I don't want to ruin my collection of ps3 games in adding up fake and pirated bluray disc.
Umm..theres been fake ps3 games for like...forever...in asia and middle east...
