I felt that cross server LFG lowered the tone somewhat when they added it in WOW. A major reason i left. I dont want RIFT to have a similer culture, organize regular trips with your guild.
it sounded to me more like there were zones that were cross server, like in DAoC, but I could just be mistaken.

The cross server is for Warfronts and is multiple servers for per Warfront.
World PvP is your server only.
LFD is not in and they said they are looking into it, but haven't said if they will implement that feature or not. This is the same response they've given on housing too. For some of these topics there are Devs for and against in-house just like there are on the forums:)

Hal Hanlin says it somewhere in this interview...it's long and I don't remember where, but LFD is asked.
No LFD there will be open groups for rifting Scott talked about in the latest massively podcast and cross server warfronts. I have never been a WoW player but LFD just sounds like a license to be a douchebag as I have seen in BG's in EQ2. I scream at my computer when people are stupid no reason to be an asshat. Probably the reason my teenagers have banned me from PVP.
