Btw is there any word on how long the time lock will be for each expansion? I mean last time the progression servers were out we had kunark in 1 month. Now for kunark 1 month is more than fine imo it does not take long to max out a lv 50 character especially with the way they changed xp in the game. But some of the other expansions have a lot more content that would take more time.

The TLP server won't have mercs or the tutorial zone.  It will be starting out in each individual city just like the good old times!!  They still haven't released any of the rules for the server though so if anyone sees those announced we need to get them posted here ASAP.

         Do you know if they'll launch with the newbie quest armors or progress to them in Luclin when, I think, they were released? I've heard people mention no Rubicite and no Manastones. This leads me to believe they'll start with the level 20ish - 35 class based armor quests (due to rubicite being replaced with Ravenscale) if it's true. If they launch with the Luclin newbie armor, which is arguably better in most cases than the classic set armors, it could be a big problem for those of us who really wanna start from the basics again like fine steel weapons, banded or bronze plate, and hide armors ><.

Looks like next week is when they'll be announcing the detailed info about the time locked progression server.  Check this thread on the newbie zone, someone got some info from Piestro (EQ's new community manager) today.  It's not much in ways of details but he did say details are coming next week.  Thanks to Zepar-FV for posting this:

 Id say they will have the recipes for the classic eq but with the new items that are needed to complete them. No Luclin recipes will be avalible i believe.
