Ok, so i got one of the beta keys (thanks)
However im looking all over the place for a download and cant seem to find one.
Any help on how to download the game early, im trying to avoid spending all my beta access downloading the game with everyone else.

I think we have to wait until you actually get a beta invite. Or I guess the client must have some torrent download somewhere.
Plan on grabbing it monday. It will only take a couple hours.
Well waiting for the beta invite...i just used a VIP beta code, is that not equal to a beta invite? Im a bit confused on that (poster above the quoted post)
The thing is, if the beta event is tuesday, and this is the hyped game of mid-winter, and there is nothing else competing with it right now....that monday is going to have every single person who wants to play downloading it. Look ive been around the block a few times on hype betas, downloading the client right before amounts to sitting there for 2 days downloading a some crazy low speed.
Which is why i said id rather not spend my beta time downloading, id rather do it tonight.
Not complaining though, i didnt plan on trying this game (and paying for it) untill a few weeks or more after offical launch, just to see how it goes. Now that people are slinging around beta keys, i just want to avoid any fustrations before i get my hopes up on playing on tuesday.
I foresee major issues and headaches with downloading the client the day before the beta. Im surprised no one else does.
If you have a VIP key, you will get an invite and a link to download. Just be patient. ^^

I don't think you have to get invited to the beta if you have an active key. They want to know how to download the client now that they have the code activated on their account.
When I pre-ordered before beta 4, I received an e-mail the day before the beta event with a download link. You might try checking the Rift forums, as their community manager is quick to answer questions and you can't be the only one with this cioncern.
Alright I went and made a Trion account and activated my key. This is the information I read.
"If you purchased RIFT directly from Trion, your account is already flagged for VIP beta access and Trion will send you a beta invitation a few days before each beta event."
Inside the invitation is a download link but you may only download AFTER you agree to a EULA.
This means they are not allowing anyone to download the client UNTIL you have went through the beta invitation steps of agreeing to a EULA. Sucks because this means you may only download it a "few days before the beta."
Oh well. Just be patient like someone said.
I am sure youre going to be able to update your Rift client 1-2 days before the acuall betas start. The speeds on the update on the Rift servers are really fast, so getting the client up to date before the beta start is gonna be very likely.
In other words just be patient and its all gonna work out.

If the beta is tuesday at 12am or something, then the invitation may be sent tomorrow (Saturday) or even tonight at 12am or so.

Once you get the VIP code registerd, at some point they will send me an email with a link to download. Got it.
I just hope they didnt give access to so many people that their servers run at a snails pace.
Any idea how large the client is, system requirements state 15.00GB hard drive space required, for us DSL losers, thats about what 15-20 hours at opimal speed?
I've been impressed with the download speeds for all betas and updates. Just got my beta notifcation, client updated fast as usual.
Might want to start checking your EMails. I just got my invite to Beta5. Downloading patch now.
EDIT: 167.3 MB patch if you already had Beta4 instaled.

Nope. No email yet.
I haven't filled out a beta application. Just the VIP Beta key. Wonder if this is required.
When you get your invite you just follow the link in it to your account page. There you have to agree to the EULA
then download the client.

Got the beta invite after I filled in my beta profile. Still unsure if that was required or not but since I got it after it probably is.
Oh yeah... and yay!
The beta download is up and running. You should all have recieved a mail by now. Downloading at 6mb/sec so the servers are just as good as the other betas.
