Great computer, but the fx5200 is extremely shite. Get an ATI Radeon 9800 pro or so. Or, if you got unlimited funds, get an X800 or Geforce 6800

Actually those cards are pretty evenly matched. Nvidia's card is faster while Radeon's has better quality graphics. It is just your card preference. In fact, the fx5200 is just so fast, being 64 bit and all.

I was joking. The fx5200 is some 6 years old. That card will run EQII on ex. preformance but big whoop. Get a radeon 9800 series. they can be 150-200 on ebay.

don't let the amount of memory fool you. a geforce 4 ti 4200 with 64mb of memory is better than that card. best way to see how great a card is is to go on one of those websites and see a benchmark on card performances. that 5200 fx is the wrose fx card. its a really washed down version compared to the 5900fx.

Trust me, you DON'T want to try and play on a 5200. I'm actually sitting next to my 5200 i just pulled out of my machine and replaced with a GeForce 6800 Ultra OC. Go with a 6800, seriously, it makes allot of difference. My friend who is on just a normal 6800 128 meg tottaly blew away my 256mb 5200 on every level imaginable, and he's on a 1.7 GHz processor and i'm on a 3.2Ghz.
If you're looking at buying in the low to moderate price ranges I would suggest a Radeon card, especially if you intend to overclock it. You can come across some good deals in the 9800 series now that the X800's are replacing them. I've seen as low as $150 for a new 9800 pro 128mb, but if you're looking a the higher end cards. In a benchmark vs. price comparison the 6800GT's (I wouldn't buy an ultra because of the dramatic price difference and relatively low performance gain) seem to be a better bargain then a comprably priced X800. I'm an ATI fan and it pains me to say it, but who knows. Maybe with a few driver updates and a little teakin' the X800's (which are still great cards) will become a better alternative.
Yeah the regular 6600's are pretty damn cheap. Seen em for like $110 at newegg.com. Whatever you do, don't get the 5200. I had it and it ran EQ2 terribly. It was 256mb as well. Invest in a better card, you'll thank yourself later.

Yes, as long as you have a serial key for making the account and pay the monthly fee.
You're obviously new to computer(games) too, because this is a pretty silly question. And now I'm holding myself back.

That's not 256 mb last time i checked
That's the card I have. Barely runs EQ at all. Get something better if you want to NOT lag and have decent graphics
