Why should we be mad? 
You just stop-ed a lot of people and myself from even getting a chance to ever test your game! Well i just wanted to tell you, that my friends are just going to Stay With WoW!..
Why cause we "CAN"play World Of War Craft.
Thank you...We will "JUST" support other games, cause your Compy wants to keep out lower end comps...
Its "NOT" an open beta when we lower end Comps cant get in! 
We will not be forced to go buy a new comp to test your Game!

what spec are you talking about here?
i hope my comp is good enough. i've waited over a year to play this game and i'd be just as pi**ed as you if i find out the game won't work...

2.5GHz
512mb RAM
256MB ATI 9550 DDR
win XP
sound card, i don't know
can someone please tell me specifically, what you mean by 'low end'?????
oh... also. it's really not expensive to upgrade your comp. i spent £80 upgrading this. the graphics card was £60 and i am waiting for an extra 512mb RAM to arrive which was £30
i don't mind upgrading my comp for a game like this... but hey, maybe that's just me

Just as long as you don't have a Gforce4 mx 440 -64, then you going to have to ditch it and put in a Radeon... I did and now my son can play!

Cool, no one said this game was for you anyway. I think all WoW fans should stay in WoW as it is. What happened anyways, you all getting bored already of WoW?
If you can't play because of you are too poor to keep up with PC technology, I suggest you go buy a console machine so you won't have to continue to whine. Because the Technology isn't slowing down to wait for you. Don't cry, a lot of people are buying the 3.5+ Ghz now anyways so I am sure you can get a 2 Ghz+ for under $300 bucks soon. LoL.
Oh BTW from your little post on the hype meter. No, I don't think Blizzard is paving a way for lower end machines. Infact if they continue to put out products like they have they will find themselves in worse shape in the future. As they will find out very soon as WoW drops in population within the next 6 months. Infact WoW will get a big drop in subscriptions after the first of the year. I will be surpirsed if there are more than 50 servers by the end of January 2005. Lots of people getting upgrades and new computers at Christmas time. Which I feel it will hurt Wo W a lot with so many love breathtaking Graphics, like HL2 and even though EQ2 sucks, all you ones that are bored of WoW will atleast go out and buy it just to see all the hype your friends were telling you about with EQ2 LMAO.
Please, please I beg of you, don't upgrade to play Wish. I don't want it tainted by a WoW fanatic.
Well you have to accept that computers are getting more and more advanced by the day, and developers can't allways adjust their games for the lower-end computers.
Also, betas are allways more demanding than the retail version of the game.
And for God's sake, don't play WoW, play something good!!!

Obviously this doesn't matter one bit since there's about as many people leaving EQ2 for WoW as there might be people heading the other way like you think.
It's also incredibly closedminded to think the graphics mean so much to a persons playing exp especially in this case since loads of people prefer WoW's graphics over EQ2s which shows that it's simply a matter of taste. Imo WoW has EQ2 beat in style and EQ2 has WoW beat in Tech. Doesn't change a thing though.

Im not Fan of WoW! That was so rude of you! We want to play this game! Im not a troll that goes around puting down games, i was saying if i cant play it...What choice do i have? I hope people like you stop playing RPG games and go off and play a GUN game! Your too rude to get into the rpg games!
We can get upgrade, just that i like to test the game before, i get a new comp!
You have toally forgotin that, tax time wont roll around till Feb or march when most will get there checks...so by then...Wish will be closed!

games should never push hardware period. sorry us low end users have to spend our money on real life things. my comp is the last thing i think of when purchasing stuff. if you would like a list i will provide one for you lol. games are fun and a good distraction from real life every so often but for them to take away from my quality of life no never not ever.
theres my two cents worth. oh and plus my parents dont support me like some of the kids with the high end comps now and days. im happy with what i got and graphics aren't everything goes game play, content, comunity, then last on my list is graphics long live free UO shards!!!!!!!!!
well unfortunatley for most, that is the nature of PC Games. graphics get better, and therefore you need better components to play the latest games.
it's kind of like saying.... why should i have to buy the latest console to play the latest games?
maybe in a perfect world a Nintendo Entertainment System (Circa 1980) would be able to play games like Vice City and Metal Gear Solid...
like i said in an earlier post. it's not that expensive to upgrade a PC with some RAM and a graphics card. so, maybe you won't be able to play the Beta but you've got at least 6 months to save up £100 or dollars which will be enough for some basic upgrades before the game is actually released.

my mind being in business deams more people playing beta then hopefully paying for it means more money to me. thats why games should stay a small step back as graphic cards progress keeping the majority in the realm of giving me there money. eq2 lost 15 people i knew that wanted to play but they wont go back to eq1 cause they retiered from eq and eq2 was only thing pulling them back so they went to wow.
but as has been proven time and time again with every new game released people at least vet mmoers are upset that all there is is graphics no content or anything like that. i was that way with swg and coh. i found a home at wow and left daoc.

Yes.. actualy.. I read most of the first page and skimmed over the 2nd page.. and I AGREE with them aiming for higher end systems. This 1: Allowes for better quality in the game, and 2: makes hte game good for years to come. a high end system NOW in 5 years will be a low end system..
So really.. e gratefull they had the insight to make a game which will last for years instead of the cash cow's that most of the others are(out.. make cash fo r6 months, then die off)

Basic specs on this game is 2Ghz and up thats not high end..... thats mid range also the gc required for this is 128mb again this is a badget card you caan get one for £30 or $20.
Theres nothing about the min requirements that a 2 year old comp cant do. Yes some system need an up grade but the cost are very low.

The basic, that's the minimum you know, 2,8 Ghz and 1gig of ram is what they are looking for and that's noty wxhat a lot of people have. The computer I am playing at is not mine so I see no reason to put in a lot of money.
I was wondering if I bought 256 mb ram so i get 756mb ram is that better is there no point in doing so. I actually read about this game all night because it got me wondering what it will be like so now i am going to try to download it to see how it play/feels like. Maybe this is kind of Horizons that i was looking for. A good story and really attacks on npc enemies where you can liberate towns and take them for your own. just a rapid question: can the npc enemies take them back?
Is there anyone that knows how long this beta will run? Because i couldn't find that anywhere maybe i am stupid and to tired so i skipped/missed it and then i am sorry.
Hope this game runs sort of smoothly on the family computer and that i can download this game and that i will see most of you inside. If i could run EQ2 (not verry well, lots of lag in beta) can i run this game?

beta lasts for the month of january. be sure to take oppurtunity... i hear everyone going on about dark and light... but then i think

Okay, so in the beginning there was a big enough group of people complaining about how the graphics sucked on Wish and now that they are fixing it people are starting to complain again. Most of the people I know didn't really care so much about the graphics, they were happy hearing about a game like this coming out, not what the graphics looked like.
If anything ruins this game its going to be groups of people complaining about a problem and then complaining when it gets fixed. (This is only meant for the ones who complained, if you didn't then don't tell me you didn't and blah blah blah etc....)
I had to set back a little money at a time to get a new graphics card, so I am sympathetic with the people with low end graphic cards, I don't have money to throw around myself, but it really doesn't take tons of money, and you can do it yourself instead of taking it to someone who will charge you quite a bit to install it, its easy enough to put in.
So... That's called a CLOSED BETA TEST. Wish have closed beta tests too, only they don't do lottery stuff... The wish closed beta tests are: 1,5 2,5 (after 2.0) and 3,5 (after 3.0).
And !!NO!! "low-end" computer users should not be allowed to play wish. This may hear a bit "mean" to you, but "slow-end" computers (and internet connections!) would cause lag and kicks for the rest. And as Wish is an UMMORPG (tm), that would be HORRIBLE!
Please, stop flaming Wish when, obviously, you're the one having problems. I would not like to see Wish turn into something like (i.e.) Horizons(tm). STOP COMPLAINING!

Low end comps wont cause lag and the Ummorpg thing has been done before "eve" and trust me all wish has to do is make sure there severs are to of the line and they will be pratacly no loag at all

catspaw, i bought a graphics card the other day for £30.. my computer doesn't have an AGP slot so i had to find the best 'old skool' PCI card.
in the end I settled with an ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR..... which is one of the 'minimum' cards specicified by MR.
just so you know. Upgradin ain't that expensive
