I have NO idea. But it's what I'm most interested in. I would consider resubbing if such a level playing field is actually possible.
seems obvious to me that it must be some type of battlegrounds.
but i doubt they'd let you queue then instantly teleport to it. they'll do something that " fits the Darkfall philosophy ".
probably like EverQuest 1 where every city has an arena.
HOWEVEAR (in Darkfall), when you enter it, all your stats (and hopefully even gear) gets maxed out. i wonder if full loot would still apply upon winning a match. and/or if you can bet money on matches.
would be alot better if they'd let you /duel somebody anywhere in the world. maybe even setup a match by letting the participants mark out a section of the map.....and put magical forcefield around that area so it can turn ANYwhere into an arena.

Absolutely NOTHING like you guys have suggested.
Don't take this as 100% but I'm very sure it'll be the further increased skill gains helping newer players catch up faster than ever before AND boosting the mediation system so it's cheaper and quicker than macroing ever was (including stats and individual spells)
People don't realise upon release the grind was probably x10 times harder and macroing took over, today the grind is greatly reduced but still not enough to let people with lives compete within a reasonable amount of time without over night macroing. The boosts in skill gain and the beefed up mediation system will combat this for non-vet players.

They've already mentionned increasing the rates, so the "level playing field" *should* be something else.
My guess is it might be balance or a reworking on the damage system like it has been suggested many times on the forum. For exemple, I believe it's Kimoshu who started this suggestion a couple of months ago, where at Rank 25 you deal 50% of the damage, Rank 50, 75% and Rank 90, 90% damage. This would help even up the playing field by raising the damage from skills all across the board, so that players don't have to grind them to 75% to get a good damage.
But this is only speculation, but I'm hopeful.
I think all there is to that sentence is an overview for what they listed later. However, if AV does have something planned it can mean only 1 thing:

Edit: Maybe they will redesign the UI to severly limit skill bindings.
My hypothesis is that it is further specializations in the form of prestige classes. That, combined with the incoming faster skill gains.
Haha, if we only had one column on the UI, we wouldn`t have to grind.

Hmm it says a "component" so my guess is they are adding another skill or giving everyone utility spells or something of that nature
Keep in mind they also said 'massive graphics update' last year and what that turned out to be was stretchy rocks.
I am just saying be wary, dont get excited until something is live, PR loves to keep people hungry so keep that in mind
