I'm curious if it has teleporters, or if you have to run everywhere, or just how the experience goes to get form point A to point B.
I'm not too keen on having to spend as much time running to a place as I do actually killing/questing.
That is one of the things that turned me and my wife off of EQ2, the quests that sent you 30 minutes one way to talk to someone or kill 5 of X, then 30 minutes back, etc. It is just not my idea of fun.
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

There is a teleport between the major areas(porticulums), you can also get a mount at level 20.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
What terroni said. The mount is fairly easy to afford as well (least in beta) so that unless you go crazy buying broker items you should have more than enough coin for it. Although since it is beta they could always change that upon the game going live.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

Since you're an ascended, you have the privilege of using the soul transport system (not the official name). Basically you get into a portal and can instantly transport to any major city.
There are also mounts that serve to speed up wherever you want to go from a major town to point B and their speeds are standard 40% increased travel speed, and then another 100% speed at a higher level. Hope this answers your question.
Thanks for the info.
I should amend that i do not mind travel, but going back and forth multiple times through the same area just because the quest makers were lazy is not my idea of fun. If it keeps the travel new and interesting I do not mind it at all.

You get access to the mount at just about the right time that the travelling on foot aspect would get to be tedious least in my opinion. Although to be fair considering how rifts can break open or other mob groups can spawn anywhere along the path some might not mind the foot travel at all since they could run across some battles/events they might otherwise miss.
