I played WoW but it is too hardcore for me, as I don't have that much time to commit to a game.
Played CoH and actually thinking of going back to it.
However, what are some good games out there at the moment? Fee paying ones.

CoH is the only game for you if you think WoW is too hardcore. IMO WoW is one of the most nonhardcore mmorpgs.

If you think WoW is too hardcore for you, then there aren't very many choices out there for you. To me, WoW is the least hardcore game i have ever played.
But, if you feel that way, then maybe CoH is good for you. No items, no grind, just playing around doing missions
Based on the info given, I'd have to say CoH is your only option that I can think of. You can just sign on, BAM find a quick group, hit some baddies, get some xp, and log off.
WoW is definitely one of the quicker grinds you'll find out there. I'd recommend steering clear of EQ2, Lineage 2, which both have steep grinds.
Good luck in finding a game that suits you.
Remember, there's always console/pc RPGs instead of MMORPGs. MMORPGs notoriously require a good amount of time in order to progress through them.
I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.
