Regarding server-performance and why they haven't swapped servers yet.

From the todays QoTW.


Q: GNi was to be the host for the server. Now that GNi has been aquired by FusionStorm and their website is saying that it no longer offers server hosting, who is going to be the server's host?

A: We will make a press release regarding that. It is the best server provider in the MMO field.

That might explain this issue to those of you, who haven't followed closely and not got this information before.

    This makes sense.

    Damn.

    Hopefully they figure this out, this could delay the release... :/

    they have sorted it out, but that's the reason, why they aren't on the new server allready, s this GNi-thingy did not happen too long ago and was just interfering with the plans of Masthead.
    They basically had to search for a new host and setup a deal within a few weeks time.

    Thanks for the info!  I had known about GNi, which made me nervous for ER....its good to hear its been dealt with.  Thanks for staying on top of an issue most probably couldn't even be bothered to know about.

    I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

    I hope you're joking.  A dev would know that the NDA has been lifted BEFORE it is announced to the public.

    Maybe SOE is hosting the servers :D
