Do Sith Warriors Get Some Form of Sith Lightning?

I am leaning toward a warrior and since it was in the Decieved trailer I am curious if I can shoot the sparklies out me hand!

In Bioware we trust!

I would imagine that if you could, it wouldn't be as strong as the one that the Sith Inquisitor could do.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

I believe they have a distance closer (force charge) and a CC (force choke) instead of thr ranged attacks.

Unfortunately, there is just not enough information released about this yet.  It would stand to reason that since Darth Vader could not do it, then the Sith Class modeled after him would not be able to do it either.  Still though, we just haven't been given enough information yet.

but the dev team knows about star wars, and the only reason darth vader couldnt use force lightning was because he was cybernetic.. it would have killed him.. *cough* just like in EP VI..

Peace is a lie. There is only passion.
    Through passion, I gain strength.
    Through strength, I gain power.
    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall set me free.

darth vader is a bad example.

he couldn't "do it" because he had circuits and machines all over his body.

he died just by coming into contact with sidious' lightning that caused all his vital circuitry that kept him alive to collapse.

i suppose bioware is thinking of a darth maul character for their warrior class - without the double bladed saber not to confuse the WoW players who are expecting wizards to use long staffs.

which is not short of ironic since using double bladed swords require a lot of combat training, balance and dexterity.

Actually, the whole cybernetic reasoning has always felt weak to me.  I know it is concidered "lore" and all from the books I have read, but if a person can't use force lightning because of cybernetic limbs, that what about Powered Armor? Energy Based Weapons? Light Sabers?  Cybernetic implants?  Communications/Electronic gadgets?  ETC. . .  If you apply it to one category, you have to apply it to them all.

Now I will grant you, they can make up any reasoning they want for why it works, but it will still feel like a weak reasoning if you have any understanding of basic scientific principles.  In the end though, we just don't have enough information on this subject and it is my personal belief that Sith Warriors will not be able to use Force Lightning.  I will admit though, it will be cool if they can, I'll just have to ignore my own understanding of the scientific principles and enjoy the game.

That is possibly maimeekrai, but I think not very probable.  If you remember from the pre-quals, Anakin Skywalker was supposedly one of the most powerful Force Weilders (with any training of course) ever born AND had already started to learn how to manipulate the force even without training.  With that being said, I think it would be hard for him NOT to learn even more after he had received some basic training.

I thought the force flowed through your body. If you have cybernetic limbs then it wouldn't be able to flow through you. Power armor and all that stuff is just on you and not inside of you/part of you.

If that makes any sense. I could be wrong but that does make sense.

Also, Darth Sidious said that Anakin|Vader would be more powerfull than both him and Yoda.

Problem is, if Force Lightning (or maybe a better term would be Force Generated Lightning) destroys cybernetics, it would also detroy anything else in close proximity to the Force Weilder.  The Force may through through the Jedi/Sith, but Force Lightning just like regular lightning would create a feild around itself that is detrimental to electronic equipment.  Especially if the equipment was so close to the source as to actually be touching it.  Electromagnetic feilds just do not play well with electronics.
