FFA PVP ganking more like EVE highsec or Darkfall?

So this game is FFA, is it more like Darkfall where you walk out of a town and can get killed or are there more safe zones outside of towns like EVE? Does the game have rampant ganking like DF or MO or is it just moderate ganking? What I'm saying is, is there guards that will protect you outside or will they only protect you in the town.

There are some towns that are "demilitarized" meaning you cant even take out weapons in them. Then thier are other towns that have gaurds in them (so far they don't seem to effective though), and then their are even smaller settlements with no guards. There are no gaurds that protect you out in the wilderness.

Its hard to say how bad the ganking will be since this is just a beta and people normally play betas differently then they do the real game. I've been ganked a couple times and also been the ganker.
