Things you didnt like from the trailer.

This trailer -

I know the game is probably in alpha / development, but there are a few things that concern me. The lasguns look like they are firing in automatic. Fluff wise they dont do that. (the standard lasgun) "They also lack the rapid fire quality of the Multi-laser or the Hellgun."- http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Lasgun
Another thing that I would like to point out, but doesn't bug me at all is recoil. I think keeping the recoil is a good thing because it makes it look cooler, but as long as they don't make the recoil look like the soldier has no experience of controlling a recoil I wouldn't mind it. The last thing on my list is the sound of the lasgun and the bolter. They sound pretty pathetic to me and I think a lot of other people would agree.

Anyway that is what I think they should work on and change. In a concerned Warhammer 40k fan way.

Those are very minor issues especially sice I dont think the sound effects were from the game at all, i think they were just piped ontop for the presentaton.

I have one more minor issue to add, at one point it shows a chaos (possibly nurgle) type thing with a large cannon for a right arm. It, looks, terrible.

Other than that the video looks pretty awesome to me.

    @Unicornicus
That is not part of the Nurgle army. It's actually a Space Marine Sevitor with a multi-melta. IMO I think they nailed it. Here is a link if you want to know more about them. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Servitor

"That which was lost...will be found... again" DMO

"What lies hidden... must be found." Spellborn.  http://www.spike.com/video/chronicles-of/2946767

Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.

    "In a world where..."

    Every movie trailor ever.

That aside, Thanks for the link, I know what servitors are but I guess I dont even like the minis for those specific ones. It looks kind of thrown together, and not in a good, thematic way, in a shoddy hurried way.

Of course thats just one opinion and, other than that one guy, I was really quite pleased with everything I saw in the trailor.

watching it again, I kind of agree, the 'lasers' coming from the IG guns seem a little to bright and fancy to me. Again, minor conern but i did notice it.

Guardsmen looked a little barebones, and the sound effects were lacking. I expect more at E3.

99% chance those sound effects were piped in along with the music for the presentation of this video.

IN THE INFANTRYMAN'S UPLIFTING PRIMIER THE GUIDE CLEARLY STATES THAT WHEN ON SENTRY DUTY IF YOU SHOULD COME UNDER ATTACK YOU ARE TO RAISE ALARM BY FIRING YOUR LAS GUN ON FULL AUTO; SIR!

Standard issue Imperial Guardsmen Las-Gun coems in 4 modes. Automatic, sem autimatic, and saftey.

Las guns in general lack power which is i believe what you mean; they can be fired on full auto fluff wise but the shots in any setting will not be as powerful as most other weapons in the 40k universe.

But yeah it was somewhat lackluster but i assume msoto f that footage was from the old version before they decided to hit it up right and proper. So they have plenty of time to get it right if they have not already. Also the las-gun shots were a tad bright.

The fact that they got footage from dawn of war and icorporated it into the trailer (although just a few secs) worries me a bit for quality/budget of the game. It might just be me being dumb but i can't help but worry.

    Also no tyranids... ;_;

From what little we have seen, I can guarantee there is more to worry about in terms of damnable lore breaking within this game. And it doesnt matter if Games Workshop is giving the ok to do it because even Games Workshop butchered their own lore with the last codex release (Grey Knights killing Sisters of Battle to protect them from daemons?!? REALLY?!?) and other instances (Blood Angels and Necrons working together?).

I am sorry, but I can only see that I will be disappointed in this game come 2013 (or whenever the release date is). Too much that needs to be done for an MMO to make this game feel right.

MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

    Haha, ahhhh....memories!

But yeah, fluff-wise they aren't very powerful, but the weapons themselves are durable as hell. The charge packs hold thousands of shots and you can charge them off of almost any thermal or elecitrcal source. Leave them in the sun, throw them in a fire, plug them in, run em against your junk...yep, just about any source.

They do have a full-auto mode though as the quoted post indicates.

Tau pulse rifles, on the other hand, are only semi-auto.....but they're incredibly powerful. I would LOVE to be able to play tau.

A blast can remove an arm so its powerful jsut not the strongest thing ever. Sometimes fluff is somewhat misleading says "this here is the shittiest weapon in the universe; but it will remove your bloody arm and replace it with a bleeding stub if it hits ya". All in all its a good weapon just not the best.

Also you can put it next to the stove whilst cooking supepr and bam its loaded; i don't suggest microwaving it though...

P.S fluff wise isn't all las weapon fire supposed to be blue.. or is it red... SHIT i never found that out.

    HERESY! BURN HERETIC!

that was my initial reaction but yeah I convinced myself to give them the benefit of the doubt after the little fiasco with Warhammer online and maybe they wont fuck up the entire IP in search for some money.

This game will be an utter failure if they aren't true to the lore at all in a sense like that but i just pray to the emperor that it doesn't happen like that. They can't fuck up so royally TWICE can they?

Hardly everything, and infos given about the basic game design are just even worse :

    - I dislike the new cartoonish graphical choice, the former one were far better :

    - I dislike animations

    - I dislike the overall ton/ambiance of the game which does not look like grim dark to me, but rather World of Imperium instead... can't wait to see chaos space marine dancing with orks image

GW is pretty good at fucking up with the price subject and one of their fluff writers(i won't name who but he is responsible for some dead sisters of battle that died at the hands of some Grey Knights) just sayin.

It is best for the industry the MMO throne remains an dusty empty seat never to be filled.
