Hi, my fondest memories of PVP within a game has to be the Runescape wilderness back in its day. I'm wondering if there is a similar MMO out there that has the Full loot PVP system or something similar that makes you feel genuinely scared in open world PVP. I'm aware that Runescape has brought back its wilderness and free world trading as of yesterday I'm looking for a game with greater graphics. I'm looking at P2P or B2P mainly because I don't like F2P games.I've looked at Darkfall but im not sure the skill system and the animations suit me too well. Any suggestions would be great.

P.S I'm not interested in EVE.

Unfortunately Darkfall is pretty much the only thing that suits your needs at the moment. There also is Mortal Online but is has some major flaws and no trial version so you'd have to waste 30 bucks in case you don't like it.

I've had a look at some Youtube video's and it does look like i'd have to try it. Is the game still as buggy as it is in some of these launch day vid's? some of the mobs are just floating in mid air xD

    Yes i played it recently.

It still has alot of these bugs. I didn't encounter too many on my few days, but they were existant.

Game-wise I like the skill progression alot more than in Darkfall, but everything else DFO is doing better (well, IMO that is, of course many people prefer Mortal).

DFO has undeniably a good amount of grind, however the process while skilling up was far more enjoyable for me than in MO.

Long story short: I'd rather slowly skill up in DFO than quickly skilling up in MO, since it's just more fun for me.

Haven & Hearth is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) set in a fictional world loosely inspired by Slavic and Germanic myth and legend. The game sets itself apart from other games in the genre in its aim to provide players with an interactive, affectable and mutable game world, which can be permanently and fundamentally changed and affected through actions undertaken by the players. Our fundamental goal with Haven & Hearth is to create a game in which player choices have permanent and/or lasting effects and, thus, providing said players with a meaningful and fun gaming experience.

Players start the game surrounded by a vast and somewhat unforgiving wilderness, with only the most basic tools of survival at their disposal. The use of fire is a thematic focal point of the game's mythos, and an early and important task will be the simple lighting of one. As the first hearth fires disperse the darkness of the surrounding wilderness, more pressing questions will present themselves to the players: Who are they? Where are they? And, most importantly, where are they going? From this point on, players will have to blaze trails of their own into the unknown, the wilderness and the future, and explore and affect the world of Haven & Hearth using only their own best judgment and a chipped stone axe. Trust us, the stone axe is the shizz.

As players progress, they will be able to acquire new skills and abilities, allowing them to perform a variety of tasks—such as the claiming of land, the construction of buildings and the cultivation of crops—each step forward making the basic task of survival somewhat easier. Having progressed far enough, players will, in time, be able to organize themselves into societies, from simple tribes and villages, progressing through republics, nation states and, ultimately, empires.

At least, those are our lofty ambitions.
