2004 was Amazing in MMO's

If you think about 2004 you have to admit its a huge year in the MMORPG industry.  With CoH bringing a new genre and playstyle to the table, Knights Online opening another door of asian play type to americans, then huge bohemoths like EQ2 and WoW releasing back to back, not to mention half a dozen other smaller games opening their doors.

I can't imagine what 2005 will bring with big hits like VSOH possibly going into beta by the end of the year, plus big block busters turned MMO's MXO and MEO pushing to open their doors hopefully this year.

It looks to be a great year.  I was inspired to think about it from this article I read at Gamergod.com

Then I looked down the game list of all the games coming out, its hard to believe in just a few years the industry has gone from exiting, to dominating to having in the near future 200+ options, from low end games you can play on your old comps to high end "movie like" games.  I just wait for the day when I can step into my virtual "holodeck".

I know. I'm into EQ2 right now, but am going to try the Wish beta and also can't wait for D&D Online! So many more "good" choices than we had a year ago.
