Worst luck today with MMO's.

This is how my shitty day went w/ MMOs. Earlier I went to EB to get SWG to try out, well after I bought it I went home and did some other stuff for a while not even touching the game, then later I installed the game and registered w/ SOE for a station account, after it was all done, I tried to subscribe to the Game. After looking for what seemed like hours, I couldn't find the damn cd-key because someone had taken it off the back of the cd case.. So back to EB I went.

I got there about 30 minutes before they closed, told them my story and tried to exchange it for another copy of the game, apparently I bought the last copy of the game as there were non left. So I said screw it and bought Eq2, since it was only 30$ now. I exchanged games and then left back home, I was 2 minutes from my house, and decided to check the game to make sure everything was there, especially the cd-key, and to my surprise the game was already opened. I rumaged through the box to find out someone had taken out the dvd case that contains the game disc and cd-key. I thought shit, the mall will never be opened by the time I get there, but try anyways and turn around back to the mall.

I got there and found that most of the stores were closed, w/ the little gate thing down. I ran to EB and saw that there were 2 people still their, I told them what had happened and they gave me another EQ2 game, I figured I was lucky since I had just made it right before they closed. Well I got home,I was ready to install the game and register for an account, wrong. I install the game, and goto register an account and the account activation part was down for some reason. So here I wait, for them to fix it so I can play EQ2.. I think it's pretty shitty luck what u guys think.

I didn't have as bad of luck as you obviously had; however, I was unable to find a store within a thirty mile raidus of my house that carried World of Warcraft. So, throwing my phone and phonebook into a wall, I decided I would order it online, pay $20 for overnight. I have been searching for three hours for a site that holds World of Warcraft; I have had no luck so far.

Bah well, some people are lucky to win the million dollar lottery.  And some people are unlucky and keep buying a game in which has a stolen CD-key.  I'm happy to be in between, I'm nor lucky at gambling nor unlucky enough to have purchased a game that was already open and had it's CD-key stolen.

Has a black cat crossed your path lately?  How about walking under a ladder?  Or did you break any mirrors?  That could be the main cause for all this!

Or maybe I'm not lucky enough to win the lottery, but I'm very lucky to have never bought a game with a stolen CD-key in it.

wait a day ... try again ... you will be playing these games for months, if not years .. whats another day ?

For SWG .. try to get an accitivation key from the free JTL trial from file planet ... then you can play SWG plus the space expansion.

I can get you a SWG CD-Key immediatly. I'm sittinng ontop of a bunch of Free SWG trials. There was a magazine in the stores where I live called Maximum PC and it had the entire SWG game + JTL on a DVD inside every issue. I got as many as possible. It is the Nov-Dec issue (says "Display until Dec 7" on the front. Has a muscle soldier guy with a big gun on the cover.).

Yup, I only paid 30$ for my copy.

 There were two versions of SWG released.

The regular normal version.

And the Special Edition version. The SE comes with some extra out of game maps, papers/posters, a pewter statue, and your character gets ingame sunglasses.

(SONY has done the same with EQ2, releasing two versions. With the special one costing more money.)

On an intresting and high note, I found out recently Blizzard has released a special Diablo with D1, D2, and all the D2 expansions, in the same box. All for $40.oo

i have had this same thing happen, the EB where i normally go, removes the Cds from the boxes so they do not get stolen, and they have failed to "replace" the Cds back into the box numerous times after i have purchased them. after a few times i started checking the boxes before i left the store, hehe.
