I'm a mmo hopper. I've played tons over the years, but I normally only have 1 pay game running at a time. Right now that is going to be DCUO. I just cancelled WoW for the 100th time. I have a lifetime sub to LOTRO but can't really bring myself to login at the moment. It's mostly LoL and DCUO.
So I'm looking for something with decent quality akin to L2 that falls in the F2P category. I know that sounds silly. I've done plenty of F2P to know that most of them try to mimmic L2. The problem being that most are a crappy copy. I honestly can't remember half of the ones I've tried. So can anyone help remind me of decent versions?
Thinks I would like - WASD movement, fonts that aren't an eye strain ( you know what I'm talking about with those f2p ports), group oriented play with healthy server pops, branching classes
Things I've tried and feelings that I can remember:
Megaten - Still installed on my pc, not L2-eque enough. I do enjoy it from time to time. combat and pets are fun
Runes of Magic - Did not enjoy. I would rather just pay for WoW.
Allods - I did enjoy the classes, fun. Maybe I should check it again. I gave up after the cash shop fiasco.
Aika - I think this is the one with the little girl pet, felt slightly odd. Not bad, but I don't like gender-locked classes...race lock is fine...gender-lock no fun.
RF Online - played back when it was p2p, was fun for a bit.
PW - Didn't really enjoy, don't remember why.
Plenty more, just going brain dead on Friday evening. Any suggestions?

My favorite F2P has always been Requiem. I find it to be very underrated, and in good shape for an F2P title. Playstyles similar levelling wise to L2, and theres some nice Server vs Server PVP events as well as an Open PK Server if thats your thing.

Thanks. I actually did play that one for a bit, but forgot about it. I may load up that one and UWO.
