Whats up!
So far I've had fun testing Xsyon. This game has more potential than any mmo on the market right now.
Hats off to the guys at Notorious Games who have been working very hard for the past years on this one. I'm a old school mmoer for over 12 years. I've betaed almost 3/4 of these mmo's out today. I've always wanted to make my own mmo and well these guys apparently did it for me.
Xsyon isn't the easiest mmo out there! God knows we have way to many as it is. Every developer goes after the buck and tries to dum down there mmo's so everyone can play it an so everyone wants to play it. What I mean by everyone is 5 year olds in a mans game. So in 30 days you can be the most powerful person in the game and go try something else. This is whats been happening. This is the killer of the mmo industry. Didn't you make consoles for the kids?
Not here. Xsyon has stuck to it's guns shut the door on some big companies wanting to come in and spent the time and own money with out big compines with deep pockets, building and fine tunning Xsyon for us the gamer. The man responsible for Xsyon is a gamer his self and this is his baby here so he is like us the gamer he knows he's been there he has suffered like the rest of us at the hand of big developers and had his mmo crushed before his eye's.
IMO you will not see alot of mistakes you've seen in past mmo's by big busness.
Every mmo you've played up till today have been full content start to finish. Then added exspansions. Xsyon and its story line takes the mmo in a whole diffrent way.
Year 2012 Apocalypse is at hand every thing you knew is gone it's you and your small bag of tools left all alone to fend for your self. Will you find friends? and join up in numbers for safty? Or will you 1 man army your last days on earth as a loner? Or some evil pyhcopath? Will you join some evil people and start a cult? Will you revert back to the days of canabiliziem?
Will you start a small plantation an build in the events to come? Will you become the next major city in a dead world? What is to come out of life? What does the future hold for you know?
As Xsyon takes form over the next few years you will see life and the world take shap. Will it be as it once was? or will it be something new out of this Apocalypse? This is the excitment of Xsyon it is not like any other mmo. You are dropped down in a sand box with a shovel you are at the start of life here. Not like other mmo's where the city is up life has been around and you try to join and blend in.
At first you will think man this game has nothing so I can do this and that, this is lame! What you missed was this is the begining. you have been choosen to join in at the start not come in years later when it's all been finished but a chance to live it while life takes form right from the beginning. What will thrill and amaze you is what will become as the years of Xsyon pass. You will see new skills evolve, new construction's, new undiscovered land with all types of creature's, New tool's ,and magic evolve. And a whole lot more I can not mention. No spoilers!!!
Don;t you wish you could of been there during the day Qyenos was being built? Or the day The first star cruiser was being built? Out of all mmo's this has past! and you didn't experience any of it! you didn't see it taken form! "Xsyon offers this." For the first time you can be there as the world forms and takes shap. You have a chance to lay back and take some time doing things not rush in and have to farm 24 hrs a day racing to the end to be top dog. You have time to start and finish before the next surprise comes into place.
Come join us for a year be there in the begining as every thing takes form and be a part of something that hasnt happened yet in mmo history. Don't be left behind. If you wait for a year you will miss all that will happen in that year. Some experiences will not be able to repeat cause they will have passed. Like all mmo fans i throw money away looking for that next mmo that will make me feel like I did in the begining. Well I found it. I think it might be your's too. Specially if you are a eq. swg. vanguard, an few other fans.
Willbonney has put up some very wonderful post about what to expect in the game. Saintbob has also put up youtube videos on how to do things in game. Im just letting you know how to take it in the right way and how to look at it. As willbonney said I'm not a employee just a beta tester and fan looking for my new home after the other guys destroyed mine.

Ps: Game runs fine on Vista and 7 if you got issues read my other post do it follow it and Don't come in Xsyon saying it's broke when it's not.

I am interested in this game, been watching it for a long time, may have the wife check it out, and see if shes interested. I wish they would do a trial.
People sell things a lot, and I did a DF, and Fallen Earth trial and they were not for me. I am fine with full loot pvp and such, so thats no biggy.
Just bought this game and my character is starving and i dont know what to do im totaly noob - this game is rox ! so real so exiting so intresting, looked for anew game for years - wasted time in WOW and other Crap... loved the times of UO, and this one is the closeset one to meet the feeling of good old mmo

You need to Forage for edible plants, or Fish for edible fish. When you get fish or plants, open your Inventory and right-click on the item. If it can be eaten, a context menu option named "Eat" will pop up. Click "Eat".
Starting out, Foraging is easier because it doesn't require a tool. Fishing requires a Fishing Pole. If you start your character with the "Fishing" skill, then you'll be set (your Fishing Pole will be in a back slot in your inventory.. drag and drop the fishing pole to your right-hand).

how do i get fishing pole if i dont have it ?
The community should be able to help you, type "/y" in chat for global
Toolcrafters can craft it for you. Players are very friendly in the game, if there are someone with the proper recipe nearby you he/she will craft it for sure. If you have started with toolcrafting you can craft it yourself, just need to train your skill to get that recipe.
