I am looking for information on rift to mabye consider me to change my mind. This isnt a hate thread, its a lack of entertainment and bored with the MMO genre in general thread. Currently i have been in the beta over the last 2 events, and yet i find this is just another themepark MMO game, that frankly brings nothing new to the genre.
I have been involved in MMOs and onilne games for to long probably, but i played UO, EQ etc etc etc, and the last MMO that really hooked me was WoW. LOTRO was a short term passing, and since that point i find nothing is really appealing to me, the genre is stagnent and stale, with no changes in 6+ years since WoWs release.
I am interested in hearing from people who have more experience then me with the product, and to see why this should be a MMO worthy of subscribing to, and investing time in. Money isnt really an issue for me, so that is not a concern.

Do you enjoy it? Is it fun? If you answer yes, I say play it.
Money's not a matter for me either so I pre-ordered it. You spend 50$ on it and if you only play for a month you still got your money's worth imo. You buy a ps3/360 game for 60$ and play for a few weeks. Why not buy and see.
I've been playing beta for months now and I don't find the game perfect but it's the newest MMORPG out. It's more polished than the last 10+ major MMORPGS released. Everything works, no major bugs, all classes are implemented, multiple dungeons/raids/zones. There is a lot of content.
If money is not an issue, it's worth buying.
If you want something different, don't get it.
I was in the same boat at first.
It's nothing amazing, it does some nice things but it stays close enough to the norm to be familiar.
I ended up pre-ordering today because I realized that there's nothing that fits exactly what I want on the horizon yet this game is fun, if not completely original, is well polished and seems to have a good dev team and community managers. There are also some fun little things that make the game just seem better, searchable bags, AoE loot, public groups, etc. etc.
In other words, for me, it's as good as it gets...for now.
You've already said that you didn't enjoy the previous two betas, nothing we can say will change that you don't enjoy the game.
Like Teala said: if you like it, play it.
If you played for the past 2 beta tests and didn't enjoy it, I'm not sure if you should be buying it. It sounds like you want others to make you like the game and that's never the right way to go, whether money is an issue or not.
Then what's the problem? I spend $60 on an xbox game I toss after 2 weeks. If I spend $40 on this and get a month of enjoyment out of it, I'm satisfied. If I get bored, I'll move on to something else.
*I just noticed that Jquik beat me to it (And worded it much better).
This ^^
