Lets get some ratings for this game so we can get a decent numerical breakdown of the specific game aspects. I see a heck of a lot of posts but not even 20 people have rated the game yet.. Lets get the rating out..
I was initially disgusted with ER but its growing on me fast. Joining a good guild adds a lot of fun to the game as well.
Thanks,

You first.
Lol, I think I was the 2nd or 3rd person to rate it, check the rating comments. Im not talking about a 5 page review, im talking about going to the rating tab and choosing the numbers 1-10 on the different aspects of the game.
Done,
your move....
I'm not sure what I'd rate the game, but I spent all day playing, and the only reason I quit is because I got hungry.
I would not be playing if I were soloing, but playing with my guild has been a lot of fun!
Beside the server problems - 8/10.
They need to fix their FPS and performance issues before I even consider going back to this game. It has potential but right now Id rather play Xsyon!
rated somewhere around 5/10
I am not gonna rate this game, because it's not finished yet
if you rate now, you are rating a Beta game which is not accurate
So What Now?
The game and studio is deserving of a 3. Though mmorpg.com will find someone to give it an 8/10 and be intellectually dishonest about it perhaps.
Striving for Silver Stars since Gold is so effeminate.
game has been oficially released, anyone whos gonna try this game out going to look at the rating and read reviews. If you wanna let potential buyers know the truth, you would do it now and not later.
What is the truth?
I would love to try this game, but based on what I've been reading here, I am waiting.
I want to know what's going on in game from people who are actually playing now. What's up in game as of now?
Right now in the game there's lots of people getting confused by the fact that NPCs that give missions don't give you a no brainer arrow to hold you by the hand to and from the mission. Alot of helping people by handing out co ordinates and showing them NPCs, alot of organised and random slaughter on the North of Enterra because most Conti haven't worked out where Sal Vitas is or how to get to it so we're almost fair game for Noir scum.
On the PvE side mostly grinding for higher tiers in armour and weaponry, guilds have started forming.
On the PvP side there's alot of exploiting the /unstuck command that needs to have a 10 second timer put on it, some logoffskis and alot of trash talking on the forums. Random and organised killing going on.
Crafting, people have started crafting the first player made gear and are working out the crafting system.
In other words it's a brand new MMO with large PvP zones.

Around 4 out of 10.
Thanks for the info.
How about stability of the game in terms of server crashes, bugs, playability, etc.? Is it little annoying stuff you can get around? I can live with that. But if it's character dying because of bugs and instability, I will wait.
Do (a lot of) players just kill you because they can? I know there are always some people like that in games, but how do you find the community in general at this stage?
EDIT: I played Darkfall for about six months, so I can handle that type of community in a pvp game. If you have played Darkfall, is the community better, the same, or worse?
The greatest concept falls flat through horrendous execusion. The game is unplayable for 90% of the population. There seems to be some 'mysterious' 10% that claim zero lag, perfect frame rates, and an amazing experience. The rest of the known world is slogging through servers so bad they made Anarchy Online's launch look five star. Game has a lot of potential but the world is made up of things that never lived up to their potential. I would wait a good six months. If the game is even still operational and they have stabilized their servers then I would recomend it. Right now I would avoid it like the plague.
OK on stability, for myself the game is stable and with shadows off I get a steady 30 - 80 fps (X3 phenom II, ATI 5770) however many don't. It seems quite a few are getting lag issues, however I don't know if this is due to the quality of their connection. I live in the U.K and have a 50mb broadband connection and have had very few lag issues. I have had desync happen quite a few times but it's rectifiable by re logging. There are no gamebreaking bugs, usualy if your char gets bugged somehow swimming, dieing or relogging will fix it though I haven't had this happen to me other than desync. I'd say unless you want to take a chance on it being unstable hold off for a month.
The community is pretty good, there are random and not so random fire fights in more populated areas due to close proximity of opposing factions. Mostly the community is helpful, much like most MMORPGs if you politley ask for help you'll get it if you ask for help like some angry entitled child you'll get told to stuff it. I find that the community is certainly one of the better ones I've played in, you will get ganked but you will get help and so far I haven't witnessed and griefing. I've noticed that most of the people brought up on WoW tend to uninstall before they get to Enterra out of frustration, 99% of those left aren't muppets.
I've played DFO for a while too, I'd describe DFO as paranoia. You saw another player and you either attacked or ran ASAP, if you hesitated he'd probably attack you. In ER people are much easier going due to only losing a random item on death and not the whole shebang and will talk with you and you can group up with strangers unlike DFO. Chat is alot less caustic (alot less caustic than most theme park MMOs also!), the biggest problem in ER chat is the whiners crying about performance issues and how they hate the game. Otherwise it's friendly and easy going. Compared to DFO it's alot less paranoia (I think nearly all games are compared to DFO though), a better community because you just have less to lose by talking and helping strangers.
I'd reccomend trying the game in a month or two if performance issues would cause you to uninstall, I think the game is certainly worth you trying but right now expect it to run like shit. I must be lucky as it runs pretty good for me and I have far fewer issues than some. Anyone that has enjoyed SWG or EVE should keep an eye on this title atleast, in the coming months it may become a must try.

This guy pretty much sums it up. 8/10 from me
I agree. I've the game installed, I was planning to leave Fallen Earth for it.. But its completely unplayable. I had never seen such a catastrophe. If bugs doesn't kill you, the ping will do it. If the ping doesn't kill you, the framerate will do it. If the framerate doesn't kill, exploiters will do it. Hopeless lol.
Thanks for the thoughtful replies, Agricola1. I'm in Asia now and I got about 150 ping on the US DFO server. I guess ping will be ok for ER here. I think I will wait a month or so and check in and see how things are going. I want to check out Enterra, but will let the game stabilize a bit more.
By the way, is there a grind? Is there a skill cap something? Like in DF, if you "fall behind" you could ever catch up with people who played longer than you? Is ER like that or will players eventually be "on the same level"?
There is a grind (it's an MMO) and there is no skill cap, however I know what you're thinking. No this isn't a uber grind ala DFO where you're grinding to keep up with the cheaters that run scripts and swim into the side of the map. You kill npcs for BP (XP), you then spend the BP on purchasing combat skills. There are no levels or classes or cookie cutter templates, the skills are more open like EVE and one skill doesn't block others.
You'll have a situation more like a combination of EVE and DFO, where those that did the most grinding over time will have an advantage. However unlike DFO catching up will be a realistic possibility and like EVE if you specialize in one area you can catch up. Also you buy a skill, it doesn't improve as you use it like DFO.
I don't know hoe this system will look in 6 months but I'm giving you my best guess. There is a seperate system for gaining crafting points and spending them + credits to get the skills. I don't forsee a DFO situation where you get discouraged because AV won't ban the cheats that run scripts to make uber chars.

Thanks again!
I gave it a whopping 1/10.
Any game that is released in this unfinished state does not deserve any better.
7/10 if they fix the performance issues. I love the world concept and MMO feel, but the performance and lag makes it hard to trul enjoy it for the great sandbox it is. Yet i still find myself logging in and playing for hours.... They're doing something right. Got my first T2 gun today, much easier to kill stuff!
Well, We got the 20 ratings necessary to display the game ratings. I would say ER is not faring so well...
I initially rated it crap but have been back twice to slightly increase my numbers. The game is starting to grow on me. I think we may have a game on our hands as soon as they fix the obviouse stability issues.
I just hope ER doesnt follow the the path of other bad launch MMOs and is able to turn it around for a long term, playable, fun, good pop game.
Time will tell.
1 - 10...from me.
Glad to see people arnt putting up with half assed games anymore!
1/10 from me
graphical glitches / CTD / invisible mobs / missing content / still waiting on my supporter items.
Alpha state game that needed funding. I'll not be subbing to this crap. If you want to try it out wait 6-12 months, if they are still in business and read up before you try it. I am thoroughly disgusted with the game at its current state and would rather take my refund then get 2 months of beta testing.
