Most fun I'v had in along time.

in Xsyon: Prelude

So I preordered Xsyon lastnight, downloaded  the game and made my toon. I was greeted with someone ganking me upon log in and almost just loged out right then. I decided to keep going though and ran along a lake and then high up into the mountains.I set up a tribe totem in a secure hidden place and set to work trying to figure out how to play the game.The first thing on the menu was a fire. Took me forever to figure out that rock means any kind of rock lol. Figured out how to forge and drink water ( my hunger had been at 0 for quite some time). Harvested some grass and made alot of thread and twine.The highlite of the night was finding a bear drinking from a stream and having him charge me.A few swipes with my dagger and fist and I showed him who the was boss though.I took away a ton of goodies, bones, hides etc.. This was only a couple of hours playing but I had such a blast.Tonight I venture out in search of more tools so I can make a tent and maybe a basket to store stuff in.

 

I know this type of game isnt for everyone but if you like a good challenge check this out.The game still needs work but I'm hooked already.If you are looking for alot of polish or good graphics stay away. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how the players progress this game in the future. I don't post much on forums but I just had to share,this game just sucked me in like nothing has in a very long time. Anyway back to work for me.

    Yeah i think i'am gonna go cash in my paycheck and pre order it.. Gives me a week to get a hold of the controls and plot out the world before the wipe.

    I'm right there with you. Bought the game last night, played for 4 or 5 hours and am in love.

    I managed to catch plenty of fish and have a nearby water supply, but i still have not managed to make a fire. I made the pit just fine with the rocks, but I can not for the life of me find or make a knife blade anywhere (to spark the flint). I do not know if it's something I will find in the scrap heaps or something I'll have to make/trade with a recipe... I don't have that recipe in weaponcrfating yet if so, and I have not found a blade in tons of metal heaps I've rummaged through.

    I know some find this type of game boring and frustrating, and that's cool... but for me it's home I think!

    ''this game just sucked me like nothing has in a very long time.''   The game gave you a blowjob? xD serioulsy though im happy you liked it. I will buy it as soon as the game releases on march 1. I really like the feel that you can do whatever you want in the game.

    Thats about the only thing that could have made it more fun for me :P  . Had to edit lol
