High Fantasy on TV?

I was thinking about how TV series such as Star Trek and Stargate have loyal followings. Why haven't there been any high fantasy TV shows in the same vein with an interesting lore to follow? I think if there was one, I would follow it. I do realize that the genre has been successful on the big screen thanks to the Lord of the Rings triology.

    In the 90's they had the Hercules/Xena/Sinbad/Robin Hood/King Arthur series'....

     

    I'm waiting for HBO to do a series for Wheel of Time. That would be awesome.

    Either HBO or Showtime is doing a Song of Ice and Fire, which is incredibly superior.

    Now with 57.3% more flames!
