Just can't go any further

I started around the third beta invitation, so jumped right in to see what all the hype was about.

I uninstalled after around level 6 or so. I know I hit the rage uninstall button fairly quickly without going further into the game, but it acted like WoW with a hint of WAR. It was nothing new, it felt old when I hit level 2.

Why did it feel old?

Because there is simply nothing I saw or felt that made this game anything new and groundbreaking.

So I continued getting the beta invitations and kept putting it off. After reading that this last invitation was the final beta event I decided I would give it one more shot and actually get to a higher level.

I really really really had to push myself to keep going. I was getting so bored doing the same things over and over again. Go here Go there Kill this Kill that Collect this Collect That blah blah blah... YAWN! I thought WoW was bad about this sort of stuff but RIFT seems to be... well, a rushed "but clean" mmo. RIFT's were boring, defending towns was boring, etc... So finally at level 19 (Yeah I pushed myself too hard to even get this high) I raged out on that uninstall button again.

Although I can say that RIFT is probably the best MMO to be released compared to the rest lately... but it's nothing new.

Honestly it feels like an expansion to another MMO with new content and what not and if you are looking for something like that... well more power to ya. For me though, I'm looking for something new and original and to keep my interest.

I'm not saying this is a "bad" game, it's just nothing "new" and to me nothing "good".
