Looking for a filler game!

ZebrionZebrion Member Posts: 12

Hello, everyone!  I'm new to the forums here, but the community seems knowledgeable, so maybe you guys can help me out.

Basically I've hit the "WoW is boring" stage, and I'm looking for something free to play to hold me over until SWTOR's beta/release.  I've tried Runes of Magic, didn't particularly like it that much.  I'm open to just about anything fun, not looking for anything specific, other than the fact that it has to be RPG, online, and free.

Anyone have anything to suggest trying?

I hear Lord of the rings online is a good free mmorpg. www.lotro.com

I've also tried LotRO... it was fun, but having to pay to unlock questing content past the newbie zones was irritating.  Yes, I know you could grind out deeds to get points to unlock them, but that took ungodly amounts of time leveling alts for that specific purpose.

I'd say EQ2, but I hear it's worse then Lord of the rings online.

Vindictus is the ultimate filler game. It's fun as all hell, but gets repetitive when there isn't new content to run through. This is why it's always good to just have on your HDD for when you get bored of your mainstay. Something new would have come in, and it's worth another week or two of play while you find something new.

I dunno if you want a game you can deep out in for months at a time, but then that wouldn't be a "filler MMO", if you ask me. It's more of a main squeeze your are sure that you are going to walk away from and never look back once something better arrives. Vind is always good for cheating on, it doesn't complain when you come back smelling like other games.
