This game was one of the best betas that I have ever played it was so crisp even in open beta. I believe that RIFT has a good shot. It was pretty amazing to see how many people had the Collectors edition turtle by the end of open beta, so at least for a month this game will have a good population. I agree with some that say people didnt want to play it too much because they wanted to save content. Good luck RIFT! cant wait for Feb 24th!

Amazing how many ppl want to see other ppl's fun fail. While its kind of likely for mergers to happen if we look at releases last couple of years, you can tell which ppl are being sincere and which are posting in spite. Kinda pathetic.

This was my evening routine when Aion launched.

• 
  Get back from work.
• 
  Launch Aion and queue up.
• 
  Cook and eat dinner.
• 
  Check up on the queue time.
• 
  Watch stuff on hulu for a while.
• 
  Hurray! I'm in! (have been queued for 2.5 hours)

Aion and NCSoft are quite the opposite of Rift and Trion Worlds though. I can elaborate if you wish me to though this is already off topic.

Trion Worlds is rather quick to react to most requests from the community. I'm sure they'll keep that trend once Rift goes live... Unlike NCSoft ;-)

Well, here's to hoping they retain players.

It really is a double edge sword isn't it? They need to accomodate as many players as they can but there is no guarantee that the players who are playing are in it for the long haul.
