Back in the day I used to use a program called Download Accelerator Plus. Dunno if it's still out there. Try download.com

Or you can just get Firefox :p it's download manager uses resume.

The standard windows downloader supports download resumes (Internet Explorer - IE).

You need to have IE that has a greater version then  5.5 Service pack 1.

Also make sure you dont delete your cache and temporary files in the progress of downloading a file.

    Should auto resume.

I'm in need of an individual one myself. I've tried everything from GoZilla! (which was freaking sweet before it was infested with spyware) to GetRight (not bad, but nothing special.) Now, I just use the Mozilla Firefox as my main browser and they have their own built-in downloaded. You can pause and resume (most of the time.) Nice and simple, but I could always use another one. Any more ideas?

Bit torrent is best Downloading program.

    Dot.

It uses a T10 server image

You can resume to your downloads.

    Lots of Bit Torrent sites.

It searches the fastest source automatically to download it what you are downloading.

You can do your own installer to it. (that is hard to explain...) image

    And lots more...

Check it out from Google or somewhere... image

Ya, i already have BT and it's great, but sometimes im just too lazy to hunt down a BT link for a lesser known file and such...

Anyways i semi-fixed my problem of freezing DL's by running Ad-aware a few times (in which it found 5 seperate infections)... I just DL'd a couple big files and didnt get any freezing...

I still want to get a good DL manager though... perhaps i'll run off and grab Firefox as that will probably kill 2 birds with 1 stone (keeping the spyware/adware out, AND a DL manager in one)
