What's up with the Rift bashers?

I've played about 30+ MMO's.  No lie or exaggeration, for 11-12 years now.  I forget.  I played about 80% of all the sub-based games, and countless f2p games as well.  I just provide this info so you know I'm NOT talking out of my you-know-what.

I keep seeing this anti-rift posts and I just plain don't get it.  For one, who cares?  If you just post to say "it sucks" then, well, why bother?  That doesn't help anyone decide if it's the next game for them, and no one cares that you don't like it and have little or no reason to back up your claim.  Don't buy it, and don't play it.  The Rift player base doesn't want someone like you around anyway.

I think Rift is one of the best games to come out in years, and I can easily back this up with real examples, comparisons to other games, and so on.  But, I'm not a fan-boi, so I don't cheerlead for anyone.  I'm posting this message to try and counter the mindless game-hate that exists on here and to be one person that says it's a good game, for people on the fence about buying it.

All MMO's share similar features and I haven't seen one that doesn't, so please, STOP saying the game (or any other MMO) is just like another MMO.  If they were *radically* different, THEY WOULD NOT BE MMOs ANYMORE!!!  How different can one RPG-based MMO be from another?  That's a rhetorical question.

Rift is NOT just like WoW.  It's not a copy of WoW, and WoW is NOT the even the first MMO, or the 2nd, or the 3rd, and, WoW copied much of its ideas and such from games before it.  So please, STOP with the WoW comparisons and BS similarity threads.

The look and feel of Rift is completely different than WoW, and I've been in the last 4 betas, played WoW for 2 years, and so on.  If you think it's a carbon copy of WoW, then you're ignorant, or playing another game.

Do I REALLY need to list the differences between Rift and WoW, and other MMO's?  Sorry, if you need me to, then you can't be helped either way.

That is all.  I'd say more but I'd just be repeating myself.

For those pre-order folks, I'll be with ya tomorrow, enjoying the game, instead of posting love or hate mesages about Rift.

It's usually the same people that just come back and post negative comments repeatedly. 

 If they don't like the game why not just ignore it and go play something else?
