WoW has some decent pvp and Rift will probably be about the same. I love Aion's graphics and combat but is way too grindy and havent got to pvp much in it to know if pvp is good or not. Im currently looking for something new too and nothing seems to interest me . I wish more mmo's would be made with the cryengine though thats for sure.
When did you play Aion ? it was really grindy but i can tell you right they improved it ALOT they made all quests give 4x the amount of exp i got to lvl 50 within a month or so without grinding just questing but the quests have no originality and its the typical ''grinding quests'' but the reason i didn't wanna play is because they added 80% defence buff to Rifting which is impossible to pvp unless they fix it or it would only be WoW or Rift
Im sub'd to Aion right now It has gotten a lot better but still too grindy to my liking. I think my problem is im just tired of the typical ol' fantasy mmo's nowadays . Kinda want to try DCUO but cant get enough positive feedback/reading on it to decide. 50 bux is 50 bux haha.
Aion
- Very grindy
- Some people thinks it has a good pvp system, but for my liking I find too hostile with the player (high cooldowns and little effect of the skills). When it was launch, ranged classes beated the melee classes. I don't know if now it works fine but you cannot avoid the grind
- The rewards and costs like resurrection, teleport...etc were fixed. Now you can amass huge amounts of kinah. However, they are useless, why do you need more money than you can spend.
- Cool graphics
WoW
- Average graphics
- The less grindy (except in the case of Guild Wars)
- The most balanced PVP, however it doesn't mean that it's the best. Nowadays the classes are blended, you can see the same skill (with different name) in multiple classes. It doesn't have sieges (no, I don't count Wintergasp and Tol Barad as sieges, they are isolated battlegrounds where the result of the fight lasts a couple of hours). And, of course, the nerfs and boost are linked to "cries" on forums. Blizzard always want to deliver whatever the kids ask for
Rift
- I didn't try it, but I have read the comments.
- Good graphics
- Pulished game
- Almost the same game as World of Warcraft except for fixed places where the monsters spawn
- It has a nice amount of class combinations
I wouldn't play them unless you are too bored. I'll suggest you to play Rift, it's the new toy in the playground.
