Leveling speed

I'm in the process of downloading the game at the moment.  I am looking forward to playing but I am curious about the leveling speed.  I've been playing DCUO and got bored out of my mind and was worried becuase the leveling was so fast.  Can someone give me a comparison to another MMO?  Is it going to be a slow leveling?" I understand that it's up to how much I play, but I'm just a little curious.

Steady inclined leveling. Like any other main stream western MMO.

Cool, I just didn't want it to be like DCUO. That was too fast.  I want to enjoy the game at a pace I like.  I used to be a hardcore MMOer but now I don't have the time to play like I used to.  I'm a bit worried that becuase I am now a casual gamer I won't enjoy it as much..  Who knows....

The early levels are quite fast, but once you hit upper 20s and low 30s it levels out and starts taking a lot more effort to level. If you find yourself getting bored questing, I suggest building an instance group. Running Iron Tomb (Defiant level 16-20 dungeon) over and over is KILLER xp if you have a good group. Plus there are some really nice drops in there.

 

Once you're in the mid to upper 20s you can hit Deepstrike Mines. Another AWESOME zone that offers really nice loot and great xp.

 

I was concerened in beta at how fast the leveling pace was, but once I hit upper 20s / low 30s I felt just fine.

 

I'm on Keenblade (Defiant side) if you decide to play on a PvE server. Name is Dourly. Hope to see you there!

Awesome, thanks for the advice.  I'm considering, for the first time, to join a PvE server.  I'm sick and tired of getting ganked but worried I wont like strictly PvE becuase of content.  I'm hoping there will be plenty to do.  I do know that I will be on the Defiant side that is for sure. If I join a PvE server, most likely I will, I will join Keenblade.  Can you tell me why you decided to do PvE?
