account upgrade

Hey. So I'm trying to upgrade my account to mines of moria or whatever is available really. I plan on playing to level cap anyways but I cant get started before I unlock rune keeper which is what I want to play.

So my question is this: where the heck do I get the codes for expansions? I buy them obviously, but I must be really tired from installing this game because lotro-europe/codemasters just keeps me going in circles. There's cash shop everywhere but no option to buy/upgrade/download any expansions at all. Its like subscription players dont even exist =P

I'm probably just tired, so if any kind soul could point me in the right direction of eu-expansions it would be most appreciated!

The store is just full of stuff to buy for lotro points.

The only option is to "upgrade account" and when I do I get:

"If you have already purchased a copy of The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™ or Mines of Moria™ in store or have a digital download code, please click the 'enter activation code' button now and enter when prompted"

Well I havent since there isnt any option to buy it =P Do I really have to turn to retailers for this? Seems odd.

I beleive you can buy Mines of Moria through their store with lotro points.  You can also buy it from Amazon, Gamestop, etc for probably cheaper.  I don't think there is a digital download except from their store.

Its not anywhere on my account management. Its not in the codemaster shop. The lotro-euro homepage is just a huge advertisement for F2P. "make an account now!" and you cant even get past it without entering your email adress and in my case it says that "you already have an account, just dl the game and start playing!" =D

If you skip directly past the advertisement you get to a sad page with only cash shop and patch downloads. Oh I cba its getting late here, I have mailed support so hopefully tomorrow I'll have some kind of answer =P

I probably have to buy a key from somewhere else just cba tonight, and it seems abit odd is all.

yeah, what I see is go that he should go "premium items" then "quests and content" then "expansions".

At the point, since I'm a subscriber, it won't show me anything else as it says that nothing in the section pertains to me.

 Yes I did actually find that option just now, to buy MoM for points. But that way it would cost me around 40$. Sounds steep tbh. Cash isnt a big issue really but still, 40$ for MoM thats not gonna happen =D

 

edit: 35$ is the correct amount. Does that sound like a good deal? I remember seeing MoM for 9.99$ during one of my attempts to get into the game couple of years ago

UPDATE:

Yes apparently the only way to buy MoM expansion from codemasters is to buy it for points. Trying to buy points I get to a page that says mircopayment and the box is empty. Lurking some I found that lots of ppl had this issue and contacting support usually settles it, which I have now done.

F2p+shop did give me some bad vibes initially but I have never seen a company so unwilling to have my money

 

edit: while I'm waiting to unlock my rune keeper I have been playing a champion and having a great time! my issues have nothing to do with the actual game and should be fixed relatively soon.

Yeah, you can still get it off Amazon for $25 it seems.  So not that big of price drop.  Still pretty damn expensive for if you ask me.  There is a Mines of Moria preorder key, that looks like the game, but its not..for $10 on amazon.  It's basically just a preorder key that is two years old that gives you a chance to win some items or some such.  Not the actual game.
